<p>We all know that inquisitors can do some decent dps when given the chance to, and it seems to be a popular question for new inquisitors, so why not have this thread? Share your top parses on what, where and what advice you can give about getting there!</p><p>Name: Zulaika</p><p>Level: 90 with 226 AAs</p><p>Parse: 19876 DPS</p><p>On: Trash mob in Parah'Celsis, draconic mob in the hallway before Scavinator trap</p><p>I attribute a lot of it by being in my dps spec, with my combat stance on and my groupies. My group makeup was Guardian, Coercer, Defiler, Brigand, me, Dirge. I was using the mark staff from the merchant in Paineel, the Bonesnap-somethingorother one, and all of my jewelry is SF fabled. SF legendary charms. Head, boots and hands were of the Altered Remedies SF fabled set, bracers T4, legs and chest SF legendary.</p><p>Hopefully, with a few more AAs I'll add Divine Recovery to my cache of goodies and push my record higher.</p>

<p>Since most of your dps is totally dependent upon your group setup threads like these don't matter much.</p><p>If you want a real dps thread post parse vs a dummy mob or go find a heroic mob with a lot of hp and solo dps it.</p><p>that's your real dps.  In raids you get so many buffs, and people can setup groups to make the parse silly.</p><p>the difference is this:  say they are giving you extra buffs so you can parse good and make a post on eq2 forums right, if</p><p>instead they had given those buffs to a real dps class they would of been parsing 50k+.</p><p>So, is your 15k-25k that impressive when real dps can do more than double you?</p><p>(granted i dps too so i'm not saying it's bad just threads like these are pointless)</p>

~20k without taking any buffs from DPS classes works. Esp. in a group with Dirge & Mystic. Fights vs. training dummies is also pointless for an Inq as they don't trigger reactive damage shields. Also our dps scales with the rest of the group / raid. It will be a lot harder to hit 20K with a raid doing 200k dps then with a raid doing 400k dps. But in the end numbers are still meaningless. What counts is if you can keep your group alive and kill the mob.

<p>As Cal said, dummies are grossly inaccurate, but when it comes down to it, why not have this thread? As I mentioned before, I see a lot of inquisitor dps, or AA builds for dps threads in this forum, why not consolidate it? I'm not saying we are a dps class, which would just be silly, but there is no harm in bragging about healer numbers, is there? Who cares about "real dps" when this is...the inquisitor thread. Would 20-25k be impressive to other inquisitors/melee healers? Most likely.</p><p>Would it help if my record dps for a group (not a raid) was 19567 dps?</p><p>Smacking a dummy around is 11007?</p><p>Just trying to give this forum something else to talk about, is that so bad?</p>

<p>I average 490-500dps solo at level 48 with all mastercrafted gear (like 530 wis or so), 5-AA combat arts, and expert/master on all other spells.</p><p>Dunno how this compares for a 48, but really doesn't matter either since I'm having fun!</p><p>I know you guys want @90.. but I felt compelled to share my noobish numbers. <img src="/smilies/3b63d1616c5dfcf29f8a7a031aaa7cad.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /></p>

<p>At the time of that writing, I had 54 AAs (Battle Cleric, Steadfast, and started working my way down Punishment line).  I'm using a 1h+shield because I haven't found a 2h that thrills me yet.</p><p>I'm curious why none of the crafted 2H are <strong>sta/wis</strong> only.  I see sta/int which makes mages happy.  I see str/sta/wis which are "okay" but its losing sta/wis because of the third stat.</p><p>When I hit 52 I'll craft me a cobalt great flail or something that looks good in the 5-6 second delay range and see what it does to my numbers.  I'd do it now but I can't justify an ebon cluster when I'll have it outlevelled soon.</p>

<p>Yeah, I wouldn't make an ebon weapon I'd outgrow so soon either. One thing that will help you kill faster, is the Litany of Combat in the Shadows tree. Unless you need the extra bit of healing finishing the Punishments tree gets you, I would go after that next =)</p>
