Double Attack vs Spell Double Attack

<p>Had someone mention something that I was pretty sure wasn't true, but couldn't find evidence to the contrary...</p><p>Wizard Myth has 10% spell double attack... very self explanitory, every spell has a 10% chance to get double attacked.</p><p>The comment was that, with Sentinel's Fate release, and the blue buffs on weapons getting the revamp, double attack on ANY weapon now also qualifies to spells, allowing wizards, or anyone, the chance to have more than 10% double attack on their spells.</p><p>Again, pretty sure this isn't true, looking for facts here.</p>

<p>Whoever told you that was mistaken.</p><p>The blue stat "double attack" only affects melee and ranged attacks. The only way a non-wizard can, currently, get spell double-attack from an item is with the yellow (1%) or red (2%) adornments.</p><p>D.</p>

<p>other than the miracle from Ro the only other spell DA buff is from the illy with points in their AA for TC.   Its a passive 5%</p><p>So with Shoulders slot, myth buff, and illy, you as a wizard should have 17% passive spell double attack.</p>

<p>You are probably thinking of Crit Chance and Crit Bonus which now apply to melee crit, ranged crit, spell crit, etc.</p>

<p>That is a battleground item too.  You wont often find mage only items with melee related stats from PvE content...atleast way less often.  Among the mages enchanters can bust out some pretty mean melee action as well.  Spell double attack isn't given on any gear except for the wizard mythical, and if you count adorns a 1% and 2% spell DA adorn that can go on shoulders from SF. </p>
