Well, I went on the free trial, it proved amazing, the atmosphere, the music, the starter quests, the sights; a rather pefect MMORPG so far, if there is such a thing.

Now I have a subscription.

One thing that puzzles me- the chat! I can read what everyone says and I am in certain chatrooms, e.g. Level 1-9, my class (Warlock) chat, etc. But I cannot find a way to type in these! Always comes up either above my head or in OOC... Any tips?

Thanks, early,

Pilgrimise.

Each channel has a number, in addition to it's name, which you should see when people type.

Although you can use the full name of the channel to send messages, it's much easier to use the channels number. Just type a / folowed by the number then hit spacebar. This will then populate the channel name and you just type your message and send it.

If you're replying to something someone has typed you can get the number for the channel from there otherwise you can type /channellist to get a list showing all the channels you are a member of and what the associated numbers are.

To speak in level chats for example Level_1-9(1) simply use that number in the paranthesis, /1 Hello ! How are you!

For me, I assign my channel numbers for "ease of memory."

My "/1" is Level 1-9

My /2 is Crafting

My /3 is whatever that toon's class's worldwide channel is, ie guk.sk for my shadowknight.

/4 through /9 are the various level channels for those. I have all of those since my alts are all still in those level ranges and sometimes people post in them lfg or something and I'll decide to swap over. Since everyone in the game has 1-9, though... that's used more often, so I may eventually clean out some of those "middle channels" but for now.. there they are.

To change a channel number, for example from number 1 to number 6, it would be /setchannelnumber 1 6
