Couple questions:

1) I haven't gone down the Shield Ally line yet. Can you cast this spell on yourself?

2) Does the Seal of Faith Shadows AA increase your ally's avoidance chance as well? How about the Fused Obsidian T3 armor set's Shield Block?

Shield Ally is probably one of, if not the best abilities that a cleric has. The only unfortunate thing about SA is that it is pretty complex, much more so than the spell description leads on. Well at least to get the most out of the ability anyhow.

1) Nope, cant use it on yourself. It can only be cast on members of your party, normally the tank.

2)Seal of faith, T3 increased block chance and any uncontested parry, block, dodge, riposte will transfer up to 60% (if max). Nothing that says +parry, riposte, dogde etc will not. Only items/abilities that increase by a certain percentage, like "caster will parry %2 of incoming damage" are uncontested.

Here is a really great link that really explains it and gives you how to position yourself, range, items that are good etc.. It is from EQ2 flames, but is a pretty tame thread.

http://www.eq2flames.com/templars/5...est-friend.html

Draconic

90 Templar AB
