I know you guys get this alot, but I'm a returning player (away from MMOs for a year) and could use some help on group dynamics and some advice on how to be what my group needs while feeling a bit of pride in class. You're welcome to flame a bit, but I could use some constructive advice more. Group setup is "Friend_01" is a good guardian dual boxing a nuking fury. Backup healing when needed. "Friend_02" (my wife) dual boxing a Trouby and main healer Inquisitor. She's an amazing healer an is doing very well with the bard. Lastly... me. I single box due to my tiny brain and desire to concentrate and really shine through one character. All these classes are 77ish, and gearing up with Kunark stuff. I have an 80 conjy, 80 necro, 80 SK and a 77 lock. All spells are expert cept necro tank pet is Master and (in 4 more days) conjy tank pet. Planar Shift and pet defensive are Master too (this was before I knew to make Fiery Magician Master). I was a consumate soloer. Now we're doing group stuff and I like it sooo much more. But class indecision sets in, and I want to take one of my toons and make it my focus for gear, epic, TSO set pieces. I have the opportunity to always have a group on weekends, and I can be DPS. Warlock is pretty easy DPS. I have a good rotation down and the AOE nuking is pretty sick. I feel like a 1 trick pony though, and the DPS seems too-easy at times. About 80 AA's using the DPS template from the Warlock sticky. The Conjy... well, I'm not getting the numbers out of him I expected. I keep finding myself going back to him, but about 600dps through expert mage pet and 400-500 from me. I'm pretty good about pre-casting Burning Avatar, but I'm feeling sort of weak when I'm relied upon to do so much DPS. I pre-cast avatar then CBlast and FB, unless a safe multi-pull, but still, the spells seem rather weak for DDs. BLazing Avatar and EUnity are the two coolest spells, but I don't have gear that Xalmat suggests for insta-casting everything. About 125 AAs on him. Necro. Fights are too fast for dots to tick right. Mobs are dead by the time I get rotation done. I like the warlock pet, but I haven't parsed DPS versus the conjy wizard pet. I possessed minion and looked at spells, and they were okay, I guess. Undead Tide takes too long for recast, and other than that, it's dumbfire pet fest, and the mobs are swarmed by my pets like a bad Jenna Jameson vid. 120 AAs SK. My first love, on the Crimson mobs for fabled. I can switch him out in an AA mirror and do some really good damage, but SKs are tanks, and I don't have the memory or attention span for tanking. I'm getting up in years and can't remember crap. 140 AA's on this dude. Given group dynamic and stuff from above, and with much more knowledge than I of endgame, what would you dump your time into? During the week, my wife and I like to duo up to Kunark dungeons (like Karnors), but that means Necro (cause of Tainted Heals) or SK. My expert pet and Vehement Skin / stoneskins... he's taking a pounding.I want to focus on one and really make the class shine, but I want to find the one that shines the best with a moderate to decent player who can probably get moderate to decent gear. Any help will save me tons of time and effort. Thanks. Tog. P.S. I want to reiterate that I don't raid. I love grouping, and helping on a raid if there was a PUG raid that didn't suck donkey kong, but I love grouping first and foremost, especially since my gear is as modest as it is.

Play what you like, none of the choices are bad. You will get out of any class what you put into it.

I have some of the T3 raiding gear, not much, mostly stuff from grouping though. A lot of the lack of DPS sounds like it is coming from a lack of AA's. With being 90 and expert mage pet I can maintain about 6-8K DPS zonewide, only using Plane shift on named fights. I would say first thing to do is just get more AA's and follow Xalmat's AA guide.

I've been following xalmats aa guide to the letter...got the mirror and bought aa's according to the purchase order chart. I may stick with the conjy. Planar shifted pet with BA does like 2k ext dps every time it's up...and I got eb just to play arou nd with. Necro pets have it in looks and the lock pet can help with healing...I was surprised at how much...but as the only non dual boxer I need todo the lions share of the dps mebbie I'll just look at the ACT dps this weekend and hope I can pull good dps with non-raid gear
