Hello All,

I just registered for the Fan Faire and resubbed to the game. I was going to wait for the next GU that has a TON of changes I've been longing for (especially New Halas, travel reconciliation and Storyline UI), but couldn't wait. This is my second year in a row going to the Fan Faire. Last year was my first time, it was a last second trip, I didn't stay at Bally's and I went without my wife. So I had a limited experience. This year, my wife is joining me (she doesn't play and I'm looking for some help to turn her to the MMO-side) and we are staying at Bally's.

This go around, I am hoping to mostly group (I have mostly solo'd the last couple years), meet new people, join a guild and meet up at the Fan Faire. I am going to play on AB. I have been playing EQ2 since launch and will be playing a monk and berserker. I will be starting a new char when New Halas is opened and probably play the berserker then. In the meantime, I'm starting a monk.

So if you know of a good guild or are in one, please let me know. I don't want the hardcore experience, but rather a fun and friendly guild that does raid but doesn't require it as a job.

Thanks and hope to see you in-game and at the FF!

Ltldogg

PS. Platinum passes

Seems to me we didn't get a schedule until much closer to the event.

So I was told by a Vanguard rep from SoE that my account would be flagged for a Dragon once I leveled and got off the Isle of Dawn... I came home from the fan faire in 2009 (15 hour flight), downloaded Vanguard again (I have the station pass and bought Vanguard when it came out so account is running)..

All excited I did all the quests on the Isle of Dawn.. I got to 10th & claimed my new mount!!!! A Camel... My wife was busting up for an hour...

HeavyBruiser: They have not substantially changed the schedule for the last 3 years. If they leave it the same, then my advice may be useful. If they change the schedule substantially, then I apologize in advance! I certainly understand the need to plan. We're < 60 days. Airfare typically reaches its lowest price at 45-55 days before the event and then starts to bounce. If you are trying to cut your attendance time down to the minimum number of days, then the game-specific panels typically start Friday afternoon. If you wanted to avoid staying Thursday night, you could maybe take an early flight Friday morning. Although airfare is so wacky that it's often cheaper to fly in late at night and eat the extra night in the hotel room than to fly early in the morning. There are some panels Friday morning, but if you had to miss some, that's what I'd skip. Friday afternoon gets game-specific. And Friday night is the splashy announcement night. Of course Saturday is the meat and potatoes of game-specific panels. That's where all the details of the next expansions, etc. get laid out. Saturday night is the dinner, party and awards ceremony. If you can get there for Thursday afternoon/evening, go for it. You'll get to hang out with other players and be able to enjoy Friday at a more leisurely pace. Nothing happens Sunday. I did a sort of mockup of last year's schedule and IF they don't change anything this year, then you can use it as a guide: http://eq2wire.feldoncentral.com/20...-8-2010-ballys/

Well that is kind of lame it would make more sense to be able to buy the in game items for the same price without an actual ticket to fan faire if they are worried about selling too many passes.

Any word yet on what the skyblade skiff is?
