Was playing last night in the x2 raid. A coercor parsed highest on the parse.. even over the wizards, warlocks, and scouts.

Have seen it happen quite a few times.

I have a coercor and all i do good in bg is die lol. I have 220AA the lvl 90 mc gear for the toughess.. working on pieces for a full set.

Even in 80-89 i didnt do much. I do well on my warlock.

Are there certain strategies that they use to get the high dps?

there are 2 things i find with my Coercer in BG and open pvp that may help.( but i suck at pvp so take it as you like)

first of all toughness in my book is pointless as dead people don't fight back try and get more proc gear drop that MC stuff.

Encounter proc's like pvp boots for mages are what you should look at the most to get your parse higher.

there are many other proc's like torrent that helps as well

second thing is crowd control your targets try and not blow a stun and a silence at the same time.

use a stun then as its about to go off put your daze and silence on that person . with the duration of the control effects they should be dead.

Unless they are a sk in that case just stand there and die. and go pick a target that isn't crazy op.

You will only see a nice parse if you have a healer nearby. Without a healer, you stand no chance of getting a decent parse.

Make sure you have the rune of blasting on your main wep, secondary and symbol.

If you are engaging 1 person, make sure you use your 3 reactives as much as possible. One can be loaded on yourself before you engage. Fast cast nukes..

Against a grp, I focus on AE and shock wave (where possible). Healers like to cure the reactives.. beware..

One of the main ways is to not get too exposed if you aren't next to a healer, and always make sure your reactive is on you at all times.

Previous poster is right, at 90, DD gear and encounter DD gear (boots) are essential if you want to see a nice parse.
