1. i was looking at my avoidance over the last few days as i have gotten a good amount of avoidance stuff. i got block up to a 86.5% chance and the 16.5% did not do anything. i hovered my mouse over my avoidance and it said only 70%. does it cap out? i remember people saying that you can go over and it will give not as much.... or did they change that.

2. if block chance does cap at 70% then i was wondering a good chest and weapons adornments. for chest i was going to go after +parry since it showed under avoidance Base, block, parry (if block caps at 70). for weapons i was thinking either the crit bonus (6% total), the damage proc (think it is like 1300) or may do the heal proc (1000 something). and advice there. dont have to be one of those.

3. has any one seen the DPS/Tank wrist drop in lair yet. i have been in there 2 times a week for a month now. so total of 16 wrist from there alone and not one leather wrist i can use. (2 wrist per chest * 2 chest a week * 4 weeks). same goes with the shoulders. only gotten the tank ones. but as my guild is not having me tank atm i would rather get them.

4. then finaly i was just wondering how i stand with other peoples avoidance when they go def spec? i get to a 92.3% avoidance def spec. think mit gets to about 54% dont remember. but remember that is also with all my block gear on so if i can drop that 16.5% it could go higher

Block caps at 70%. Block chance, however, does not cap (though it obviously becomes useless once your contested and uncontested block both reach 70%. If your block is capped at 70% in the avoidance window, it means that your contested block is capped--you will no longer receive any benefit from items with +deflection on them. However, you will still receive benefits from +block chance, as your uncontested block should not be capped yet. If you are fighting raid mobs or the more difficult mobs in the harder instances, it is still worth raising your block chance. Otherwise, you're not seeing much in the way of gains.

http://forums.station.sony.com/eq2/...topic_id=472979 has a lot of information regarding avoidance mechanics.

so then for my other questions. should i put block chance on my gear or not worry about it with a 86.5% already?

Block chance caps at 159% if you've put 5 points into aversion, have mastered defensive stance, and have your mythical. You will continue to see linear gains in avoidance until you hit that point.
