For the love of God what is going on with this crash? I never had this problem before SF but now I get it all the time..almost exclusively when I'm in a BG..which of course forfeits my tokens for the match and gives me a truancy buff preventing me from joining another BG. Very annoying. Is anyone else having this issue or know any info about this?

"EQ2 client has stopped working" : there is a known issue, using the ingame browser can cause this right now, I believe they are working on it.

"blue screen" if your getting a BSOD in windows 7, you REALLY got somthign wrong with the system. the only time I have heard of EQ causing these it was normally the Video card (sometime overheating, sometimes driver issues, sometimes dying) or bad RAM, a few have had a bad processor, one person found it to be that EQ was written to bad sectors on the hard drive.

I never use the in game browser so that's not it. I'm not getting a blue screen at all. Just a small windows error window saying "EQ2 client has stopped working" and the game closes. It usually happens in a BG but has happened at other times as well. It's also been happening simultaneously to multiple guildmates at once on raids. Since we are in vent they all say they get the error and it happens all at the same exact moment..crashing 3-5 people at once mid-fight.

In fact I had the relic and we were winning, so I know how frustrating it is. My issue was the same as yours, "client has stopped working". Unfortunately like you said, no crash log was generated in this case. I'm also running Win7 64 at home.

We are continuing to work on fixes for crashes but it's difficult to know what is causing this exact problem unless we can get it to happen for us in a debug environment. We will keep looking for the issue and I apologize for the frustration it's causing.

Just thought I would add that I'm also running Win7 64 bit Pro. In case that element is a recurring theme in the crash.

I can't reproduce this at will, but when it does happen there is usually a recurring theme. I've opened the in game browser to the eq2 wiki and usually one of those insanely irritating ads are running, the ones that look like video and have sound. I close the browser and then when I'm turning (I use directional keypad to turn) I crash. I'm always pressing the key I use to turn with and then the message box is in front of me and I'm going what the heck! DANG NABBIT!

However, I have gotten this same crash ("EQ2 has stopped working") without having opened the browser, but I'm still turning. This is usually in a zone like Neriak where I've previously had memory issues way back before they optimized the memory usage.

I'm still on Vista.

http://home.comcast.net/~wazeau/DxDiag.txt

Getting the same thing, using Win 7 64. It has become such a repeatable issue that I completely stopped using the ingame browser and just alt-tab if I need to look something up. This mainly happens when I visit the eq2 wiki site but does happen time to time on the ZAM site. I don't do the BG's.

I was getting client crashes recently in Windows 7 64 bit and eventually I discovered the problem was with my bios. After updating that I havn't seen a single crash in over a month. This isn't necessarily a related issue, but I was crashing within 5-15 minutes of logging in, every time, before I found my fix. I use an Asus P5N-E SLI motherboard.

Greetings,

For people getting this issue I'd like to collect at least the first section of your DXdiag file. Even if it doesn't show any obvious problems we can hopefully find a common link between the people that are seeing it.

Not to bring back a old post, but this started happening a few months ago and is only getting worse. Same exact thing, cilent crashes, mostly in BGs, getting to the point where it crashes about once every 3 or 4 BGs. On a side note, game crashes to character selection while zoning from time to time as well. I suppose I should just say the game crashes alot, heh.
