EQ2 not starting up right away?

<p>I've had the same issue with the streaming client, but using the downloaded client, I'm still having issues.</p><p>I'll log in, click play, and nothing.</p><p>I usually have to wait like 5-10min till it actually boots.</p><p>There any fix to this? It's extremely annoying after a long day!</p><p>Thanks in advance!</p>

<p>what else is running on your machine? Suspect the issue is something taking cpu and diskio cycles that is running when you astart the game</p>

<p>I am having this same problem, and I don't have anything open that would cause that problem.</p><p>I have restarted the program.</p><p>I have restarted the comp. Whatever it is, it seems to be happening to others...</p>

<p>The issue you're describing sounds like it might be caused by a blocked port on a router.  If you are using a router then please try bypassing it so that your computer is connected directly to the modem.  If that fixes the problem then you will need to set up that router for port forwarding in order to continue using it.  The following site has detailed information about how to do so:<a href="http://portforward.com/" target="_blank" rel="nofollow">http://portforward.com/</a>Simply select the router you're using, click the 'skip this advertisement' link, and then select Everquest 2 on the following list.  That should present you with instructions on how to set up port forwarding on your router.</p>
