I was surprised to see that the fabled ring from the Dartain Sig has no resis at all while all legendary jewelry items got them.

Considering how long it takes for some to get the ring, not to mention camping nameds and go throught the hardest Heroic Zone and kill the hardest heroic mob.

I would think that the ring should be considered like a raidloot drop and get resis.

the rings are all junk - you can find better on the broker for a few plat.

the only reason someone would wear these, is if they just absolutly like seeing something labled as fabled.

dont bother with this questline, cause the gear is junk - so its a waste of time.

The one i have isnt that bad if it had resists. No resists make it a pain to keep on all the time. Im hoping the devs add them in the next patch.

The wierd I found is tht tank ring seemed a better scout dps ring. I just wish they could bump agi on the tank ring and bump the str on the scout ring to make them a little more flexible.

If you compare it to how good was the thuga ring when ROK was issued, you burst out laughing. It seems that the team in charge of itemisation was either very reduced or very drunk.

Thuuga items where too powerful for how easy they where to get. So yea this isnt as good as that.

I admit itemization in the exp is not good. The point is this is a fabled ring and needs resists. The devs changed there stance on resists after the exp came out. I hope this just got missed when the devs realized what a horribly bad decision no resists was.

I would love to see the base stats bummed a little to add better flexibility, but i doubt that will happen. I need the +damage with my current gear, so im stuck with low agi.

these items are just pathetic with how long they take to get, and how when you compare them with even easy to find on the broker items - these barely stand out as better - even less when you see they have no resists.

these items need to be rethought, given that they are meant to be a rewarding end to a rather long questline.

What ring is easy to get that is better than 3% crit bonus, 3% potency, 150 damage ?

For my GF's Necro she wants the healer ring more than the mage ring, if only the added WIS and INT to both healer and mage ring so you chould choose.

The New Rings are on Test.

just saw them - the scout one I have is now pretty [Removed for Content] solid. right about where it should be really. I can find better in raid, I got my eye on some. but still very solid against raid and high end gear.

scout one has elemental resists - 7 DPS, 9 crit, 3 crit bonus and potency, no procs.

not much to complain about really - theres still better instance rings, like the band of zek. but for being a quest reward, now it most definatly feels worth it.

glad I never muted mine haha.

Edit - Pic Added.

Holy crap, a scout item with DPS mod on it for once, didn't think those existed anymore, may actually have to bother doing this questline now

No heroic geared tank will use those rings as well?!?!?! BG rings still dwarf those? It drives me crazy how they threw stonewall I II and III on an item in almost every single zone but dont give the expansion sig line quest anything decent on the rewards like torrent or stonewall /sigh

I can see the point summoners have about needing pet focuses for these, I mean, thier entire class is defined by thier pet, so personal DPS is only so so - when thier pet is the one that should benifit from these kinda things. but other then that, I'd think most classes would be happy with these, given that they arent incredibly hard to get, just time consuming.

so still missing a pet focus how about one ?

The healer ring is terrible. I'd take the mage ring in a heartbeat over that healer one.

Nazon@Oasis wrote:

What ring is easy to get that is better than 3% crit bonus, 3% potency, 150 damage ?

For example, there is a commonly dropped legendary ring in vigilant2 that has 2.5 potency and crit bonus and 3.5 dps mod with a 50 ability mod.. still not great but very comparable to those terrible fabled quest rings.. I still did the quest and have the ring in mu bags ofcourse incase the devs decide to upgrade them... hope they will, they are terrible from the work vs.reward standpoint..

Almost every healer I know would take 2% reuse and 100 mod over 9% more casting speed.
