There is a lot of gear in SF that have attractive pet buffs on them. The only problem is that you have to unequip then re equip each item to get them to work. Putting aside the excessively long casting time for PE this makes these buffs next to useless in a group or raid situation.

The buffs however remain very good - I've tested this on a training dummy - just sending in a dummy as my pet and comparing buffed and unbuffed results. Having the pet buffed with just five items with pet buffs on them I get approximately 73% more dps from the pet. In a raid situation where there has been a break and I have had time to go through the unequip/requip fiasco my pets parse jumps from around 6% to 11% of my overall dps on comparable mobs.

Can the developers please why this has not been fixed and if dont intend to why?

A fix for that would be nice. In the meantime try making a macro for your gear so you can reapply the effects faster.

The SF gear that says "gives.... to qualifying pets" is for summoners' pets. Not enchanters.

Either that or the people that told me were lying

They were probably misinformed...or just lying. I can immediately confirm that the staff that drops from Ilsiad's Barrier (not sure on the spelling) WILL hurt your possessed essence if you unequip it (which we seem to HAVE to do to get the benefit).

Hmm. I hope i saved the pet gear then. I wouldnt make sense to me if that gear didnt also help our pets.
