New PC - Win 7 - Download of 9.9g patch 70kb? Help

<p>No idea why my download speeds are 70kbs. </p><p>Just got a new PC with Win7 64, any suggestions?  Tried everything advice related I could find on google, nothing helped...  Using a WMP600N wireless card (new)... Comcast internet connection... Running in admin...</p><p>Tried booting in Safe mode with Networking, same issue...</p><p>Fyvish</p>

<p>did you check that the ports that the launcher needs to download are open? if you click the help on your launcher theres a speed test run that and see what kind of speeds it returns</p>

<p><cite>Fyvish wrote:</cite></p><blockquote><p>Ran speed test and it came back 1876kbps...</p><p>-Fyvish</p></blockquote><p>I doubt this is a problem with the download speed of your system.  It's more likely that one of the ports used for patching is being blocked through the router.  You mention that you have a wireless card so I assume you're using a router?  If so, please try bypassing it(so your computer is plugged directly into the modem) to see if that corrects the problem.</p><p>If that corrects the problem then you'll want to use the information on the following site to get that router set up for port forwarding:</p><p><a href="http://portforward.com/" target="_blank" rel="nofollow">http://portforward.com/</a>Simply select the router you're using, click the 'skip this advertisement' link, and then select Everquest 2 on the following list.  That should present you with instructions on how to set up port forwarding on your router.</p>
