I've been told that steadfast is not exactly as it reads. That it costs 2 seconds to CAST. Thereafter, until you move you are immune to being interrupted and 50% immune to stifle effects. In other words it is PERMANENT until you move. But this definitely is not how it reads.

As long as the Bishop remains in place, They are immune to interruptions and sometimes stifles

Apples Steadfast, lasts for 2 seconds.

Prevents caster from being interrupted.

Makes caster immune to stifle effects 50% chance

This definition tells you that it lasts 2 seconds, and only if you don't move. I think it really needs a rewording if that isn't it.

Furthermore, the new Sentinel's Fate ability Steadfast resolve lengths it's duration, which makes it sound like it DOES only last 2 seconds.

And overconfidence:

It's my understanding that when you call for help ONLY toons can answer your call, and it is THEIR choice whether or not to help you. Yelling just unlocks the encounter so they can come in and help you. But, the ability makes it sound as if that isn't the case, it increased their chances of them responding to your calls.

Steadfast is an invisible two second buff that is automatically recast on you every two seconds as long as you aren't moving. Each time you get the buff it has a 50% chance of providing stifle immunity.

I'm not entirely sure what happens with the lengthened version with regards to the stifle immunity - whether you end up with two copies of the buff on you temporarily and are immune if either of them provide immunity , or whether it just depends on the most recent one applied. Once you have all the points spent in it it doesn't really matter how that works exactly , since it always provides immunity at that point.

Overconfidence is cast on a mob and reduces the range at which other mobs will assist if you attack it. I forget the wording offhand ,so I can't remember whether you want to cast it on the mob you are pulling or the one that you want to prevent from assisting.

Steadfast applies for every 2 seconds you don't move. Example:

You move, then stand in one place to cast. If you don't move, you have Steadfast applied for 2 seconds. If you continue to not move, it is reapplied every 2 seconds. If you move, it is not applied.

The SF AA increases (with 8 points spent) the duration of Steadfast to 4 seconds. This means, if you don't move, you have immunity for 4 seconds, instead of 2. Same concept as above.

The SF AA also increases the "chance" for the Stifle immunity to apply 100% of the time instead of it's undisclosed "sometimes" amount (I think it's 50% chance, can't remember offhand, however).

So, breakdown:

With Steadfast + 8 points in Steadfast Resolve, you gain 100% immunity to interruptions and 100% immunity to stifles for 4 seconds when you're standing still

As far as Overconfidence, it's a waste of your time, spend your points elsewhere.

An effect that stifles you prevents you from casting spells , using combat arts , or using items (with the occasional exception). You can still move and autoattack.

Not asked for , but some other control effects are :

Daze - Prevents autoattack.

Root - Prevents movement.

Stun - Prevents autoattack , moving , casting , use of combat arts and items.
