Greetings -

I assume the first red adorn should be Focus Crystal Blast, and the yellow slots should be filled with Potency and Hate Reduction?

Thanks

It depends what slots you're looking to fill.

Chest should be Enhance Plane Shift because that's the only slot you can put that adorn in (requires a Robe of Duality or better).

Shoulder should be Spell Double Attack.

Then I would put on Enhance Geotic Rune and Enhance Elemental Toxicity.

I do not recommend enhancements to Crystal Blast or Fiery Annihilation because it's pretty easy to cap out potency for both spells. The Red Adorn for Hate Reduction on the helmet is basically useless as far as I'm concerned, but for yellow it's OK.

Other interesting adorns:

Legs: Crit Bonus

Forearm: Ability Reuse, or Potency

Feet: Crit Chance

I assume the TSO focus doesn't stack with the similar red adornment?

But once I lose the TSO PS focus, I'll simply replace this red adorn. It's still early in the expansion.

I also went with the Crystal Blast focus on my other red adorn piece because, at least at this point, I'm nowhere near potency cap (I think I sit around 50% at this time, and the cap is 100%).

Also keep in mind that Strike of the Mage gives 10% base to Crystal Blast, Magic Mastery gives 10% base to magic spells, Aptitude of the Theurgist gives 8% base damage to all hostile spells, and a troub buffs your base spell damage by 10%. That's 38% right there.

That's 48% potency right there that doesn't show in the persona window.

I just tested it - with all this, my Crystal Blast is slightly above 100% (casting the mythical buff still adds to CB, but not the whole 10%). What skewed my initial calculation was that I expected some of this stuff (like the myth buff) to be reflected by my potency score. It doesn't, as it only affects spells, and not all abilities as shown by ProfitUI's stat.

I'll have to start digging at what to replace that adorn with, since the PS adorn isn't worth it for me at this time. Thanks for the tips.

EDIT: did some more tests, the adorn is still pushing my max CB damage by about 140 damage (+300 damage total, minus 146 from the +ability mod the glove bring, and some more from the +int). So while not the full benefit, it's still a sizeable difference.

Im the same, slightly over cap with CB red adornment.

I'll be keeping it for the time being since im not normally groupped with a troub atm... (Any one know a GMT +10:00 troub? we're recruiting!!) but i'll certainly be replacing it with the ET adorn once my situation (and gear) imporves.
