Alright so I started EQ2 the other day and played fine for the fist day.

when i logged in today the launcher wont start up, I get a pop up box saying checking files for launcher and then nothing. it was working fine just the other night.

Is this a problem when converting to a trial? Im in the process of updating the 9g+ station launcher because I thought the free trial launcher might just be no longer usefull for a paying member now?

Am I right to assume that changing to the station launcher will fix my problem? any help would be appreciated.

There are three Launchers currently, that I'm aware of and none of them are connected to any particular subscription type. There is the old legacy Launcher (brown in color) that is useful only for EQ2, and the two new blue Launchers - a streaming client and all-at-once client, for lack of a better name. Again, other than the mechanics of streaming or not, use of any of the three Launchers is identical insofar as the end result of patching files and launching the game is concerned.

So, no, converting from a Trial account to a regular subscription does not require any changes in the Launcher or the Game software. If you decided to change Launchers when you upgraded your subscription, and you are now seeing a huge download, chances are virtually 100% that the new Launcher is simply not pointing to your existing Game install location and you need to point it there via the Preferences in the Launcher. In other words, it is trying to completely reinstall the game at a different location.
