Its simple i'm sure you guys have seen it before, I will include a jpg image of the error. I keep getting a reoccurring error of a file with checksum verifying. I have tired uninstalling, reinstalling, Different install locations, put as read only folders, not putting as read only folder, disabling UAC on my win 7 64, reinstalling launcher, changing install directories, created install directories outside of program files ex /c/games, putting it in comparability mode, running as admin, i even went in to folder securities and checked the allows through every single user, I even tired patch over the cloud client. Everything just seems to do nothing. I've googled and tried it all, so you guys are my last resort here please, I mean I like your stream clouding client stream thing but I would prefer to have just everything already downloaded.

http://s839.photobucket.com/albums/...nt=errorjpg.jpg

I'm at a complete lost

No virus, I even allowed every possiable thing i could through the basic win 7 firewall, opened every port i could find for eq2.....i'm so lost atm plz help

Besides the steam, station launcher, and the EQ2 launcher that streams your files as you need them is there another way to patch?

A checksum error is usually indicative of a specific file issue, perhaps corrupted somehow. It's possible the cause is a bad disk sector. Try deleting the contents of the lp_temp directory. If you get a CRC error from the OS then the problem is almost certainly a disk issue. You can try running Windows Error Checking utility on the disk (right click on the disk drive icon in My Computer and select Properties then "Check Now" under the Error checking section). If there is a bad sector it should isolate the spot and allow you to move on from there.

If it isn't a CRC error of some sort then deleting the lp_temp directory and repatching may fix your problem. It was difficult to gather from your post exactly what steps you took and the procedures you used for checking, although most of the things you indicate you did would likely fix a simple file corruption issue. I'm leaning towards a disk problem.

By the way, I think the word you were looking for (notta) is the Latin word "nada", meaning nothing. And no, it's not a big deal to me. I just thought you might like to know.

I doubt but a question could the Streamer Cloud Client cause an issue with the Station launcher even though they both work in separate places? Download/install separate places. Also I'm noticing the file thats cause the error on exist when the error is on my screen.... If this is anymore usefull info

Couple of questions: Were you able to successfully delete the lp_temp folder contents? Was there an error given?

Try this. Create a new folder in the root directory of your drive. I use C:Games. Create a subdirectory there for C:GamesSony. Completely uninstall the Launcher and reinstall in C:GamesSonyStation Launcher. Then install the game in C:GamesSonyEverquest2. This should move the install to a completely new area of the drive and outside of the Program Files environment. Feel free, of course, to name the new directories whatever you like as it really doesn't matter as long as you know what they are.

This arrangement works well for me on Win7 (32) and Win7 (64) and I never have to Run as Administrator or Compatibility or any of that.

P.S. Uninstall all copies of the Launcher of any type. You do not need to Uninstall the game itself since it doesn't really install in the registry, only the Launcher does. You can just delete the unneeded Everquest game folders.

Yeah it doesn't even question it, I deleted the whole folder ten plus times now. As of the second question no idea what your asking...Error when i deleted it? no Ask for you next step I've done it as I stated above briefly but I will try again leaving a step by step process of which I did. 1. Unistall Station Launcher 2. Run CCleaner clearing up registry 3. Ran Tune Utlities Up 1 Maintence 4. Deleted C:Games Folder which contain station launcher and eq 2, although I left the stream client folder which is in ProgramData(stream cloud launcher, the one that cause glitchs and lag, which i don't want to use :'( ) 5. Did A Search For Station Launcher, Sony etc to make sure no excise stuff left somewhere else 6.Downloaded another Station Launcher.exe 7. Installed It to C:Games....Checked run as admin, although UAC is off, even check the folder sercuties 8. Redownload EQ2 to the same directory 9. I will report back and see how it works(again)

Can the other hard drive in any possibility what so ever mess up my main hard drive? I mean like can the registry files that are saved on D mess with C HDD? C Is the main one win 7 64 pro. I really doubt but if its even a slightest possibility I will format it!!! Maybe I could format it and install EQ 2 on it ?

As you can see I'm pretty computer savy, and know my way around the "mainframe" (joke), If there is anything I missed or you could suggest to do more please do. But I'm at 9.73gb left I think it mite be further than it ever has been....so I'm going with the defrag of the reg, finding 2 hidden station launcher files(btm 2 in picture link 2) I really doubt the other HDD Station Launcher Files affected it but there gone now too, well the ones I found. (was left over from vanguard trail awhile back) If what I did works I will write a nice little guide rofl to help people in the future who run into my predicament.

HAPPENED AGIAIN ARRRRG

I'm wondering it happened again because I was playing on the stream client at the same time, is that a chance? If so do I have to uninstall the client find the hidden file reinstall again?

I honestly do not know.

Not sure I follow your last post. Are you saying you were in the game, playing, with the streaming Launcher running in the background? And you were also running the regular Launcher while playing? Why would you do that? I'm confused.

If I were you I would uninstall every other copy of any Launcher other than the regular one that was linked in this thread. Make sure no other Launcher is running, start the Launcher, and walk away for a while.

But if you were actually playing while using the streaming client then I'm not seeing what the issue is other than trying to patch the same files with two different patchers at the same time.

Heh Sorry I'm saying While Station Launcher is updating while I'm playing EQ2 With the Streaming Client, Which I think mite be causing the issue, maybe the fact you tech. getting data from the same location but in two different methods in different destinations...perhaps? I think whats happening is that even though your using two different methods they both create the same Windows PF Files (config file) seen in my image above, conflict with register/windows pf files. If that makes sense. I guess to say im confusing the OS its self, they root to different directions but they come from the same source, and behind what you can see the manipulate/create the same windows PF.
