Is there any way to avoid this from happening? Every time you put the game in windowed mode, elements of the UI will move around. It's impossible to put the interface the way I want to keep it because of this. Having to adjust my interface every time I switch to windowed mode is so lame I'm lacking words for it. How can this bug exist after so long?

I figured I'd avoid it simply by never going into windowed mode, but alt+tabbing automatically puts the game in windowed mode. Way to go, developers!

So is there any way to avoid this from happening? Locking windows definitely doesn't make a difference.

If you switch it to windowed mode and things seem a little out of focus, try minimizing the window then maximizing it and see if the makes it better.

Not sure what problem that is supposed to solve exactly but it did absolutely nothing to alleviate the issues with parts of the interface moving around.

One of the major flaws with this game is in no doubt the interface.

The interface is all XML windows. If you shrink the container box (in this case the window) then of course all the interior windows are going to shift a bit in relationship to it.

I play primarily in windowed mode, and what I do is to arrange my UI elements to be the way I want them while windowed. They don't shift about much when I go to full screen on the rare times I play in FS mode.

You may want to consider taking a look at EQ2Interface.com to learn more about the GUI, and that's also where you will find custom UIs, and custom UI pieces.
