hi, i'm trying to play this as a trial. i've right clicked eq2 and selected run as administrator, as well as, run in compatability mode windows service pack 3 (i've tried 2 as well).

the problem is after the game updated and reads as update complete, the updating button remains grey'd out and there is a download button right below it. when i hit the download button the game scans and says update complete.

keeps reading : download: dungeon_parch_blank.dds...

Download Complete.

any help would be awesome!

Greetings,

What version of the launcher are you using? If you aren't doing so already, I would advise using the station launcher available here:

http://launcher.station.sony.com/

You'll want to run that one as administrator as well. Let us know if the problem persists at that point.

awesome! thank you for such a quick reply. i tried what you had in mind and it totally worked. I was able to log in and download everquest 2... however, it stoped halfway through the night and so i started it back up and let it keep downloading throughout the day. when i got back the download had been interupted and a warning sign was up. I tried exiting the program and restarting it and loged in and got the same message. so i unfortionatly uninstalled sony launcher and deleted all files.

Then i reinstalled the launcher and launched it and while updating i am now getting the message "Unable to load application files from C:Sony Onlinemain. Do you want to retry?" (I tried installing it to the default location and that had the same problem so then i tried C"

any suggestions? i can't seem to find anything on the forums for windows 7 x64 that was the same problem and the xp solutions didn't seem to help much
