So here is a problem that I'm stumped at. I'm running Vista (yes, I know, strike one against me right there) and on a wide screen monitor. Whenever I load up EQ2 the screen always went dark, a blue little box said "Auto Adjusting" and EQ2 would pop on fullscreen.

However, as of tonight (I have not logged in for a few days) whenever I load EQ2 the box comes up only now the screen to moved over about 6 inches to the left, cutting off about 20% of the screen on the left. On the right side is dark and even my mouse can not enter the 'dark-side', it hits the edge of the EQ2 playscreen and stops as if that is the edge of my monitor. If I move my mouse over to the cut-off right side, it keeps going like I can still click whatever is hidden from view.

As far as I know, I have not changed anything in terms of settings. The only variable that even comes to mind is internet explorer forced me to download (or update) something called Silverlight. <--- not sure if this is useful for not!

Any ideas?

Thank you.

EDIT: fixed some spelling mistakes since that was gonna drive me crazy

Greetings,

I had this problem before and it was caused by the software that my monitor was using. It updated itself without my knowledge and the setting got messed up. What kind of monitor do you use and does it have some sort of config software?

Lets see... under display settings it calls my monitor (its a Dell if that helps) "Generic PnP Monitor on NVIDIA GeForce GTX 285"which doesnt really help us I don't think. Under the NVIDIA tab it calls my monitor "DELL 2408WFP"

In terms of software I cant seem to locate any other than those found under 'advance settings' under the 'display settings tab'. There are buttons on the front of the monitor itself but I have never touched those. Ever.
