I guess it could be fun. Except all my controls are not what I run normally.

Umm.. Why? Control schemes dont carry over? Might take me 20 minutes to fix it to what I normally run, and in something like BGs, that would be an eternity.

Easy fix to this?

/load_uisettings is one I use.. reload your commonly used UI

Then, use /savehotkeys
when you have the time to mess with 'em

/loadhotkeys
will sort out all your spells/CAs when you pop into the BG.

That's what I do. I'm sure others may have their own way of doing it. Try it, if you like it, then I'm glad to have helped. If not, I hope you find the way that suits you.

Some things are easy to fix. Such as the /load_uisettings command. But others are not. If you've switched any of your key bindings, then those don't move over. The same thing appears to happen to other settings like my targeting ones.

The good news is that once you finally modify your UI settings back to the standard version, it'll be saved that way. So once you load them again, they'll come through in the changed version. Not that this is the best solution, but it's what we've got.

I normally pick a single issue that I want to correct. On my home server, I open up my UI and figure out the exact path ways neccessary to get to what I want to change. Once I've got my game plan set, I que for the BG. Immediately upon zoning in, I quickly modify that specific issue. Then rinse and repeat for each various item on your list until they're all done.

/save_keymaps, and then /load_keymaps might be what you're looking for. My keybindings are different on live servers also. I don't think it's persistent, though, I keep having to do it. Probably easiest to make a macro with that command and any other non-persistent thing you want to do in the 60 second warmup period.
