Okay I'm just not seeing the purpose behind the Harvest Depot for your house. You still need to harvest to put those in just like the guild hall one. However unless I'm totally mistaken, there isn't any tinkered harvestor bots that you can make to replicate the guild hall one. For 5 brellium I was hoping it would come with a bot inside it.

Right now I'm using it to house rares and adornment items, and will have my toons craft items that require those components in-house. It freed up 1 and a bit boxes for me in the shared bank, so that was nice. My concern is that it may not hold all the rare/adornment mats---I haven't hit max yet, but I don't think I've got one of everything in there yet.

Its purpose is, for ppl who want to craft in their own home, to free up bank and bag space.

The purpose is to let people craft in their house and not have to worry about trying to stuff everything in their vault. The problem with guild hall crafting is too many people are crafting stuff and not enough are putting back into it.

For my carpenter/tinkerer, I put in everything but food and rares. With Brell Day stuff, I'm at 67/100. One character doesn't need much more than that.

The one character I use to harvest with can just dump all the stuff into the depot.

Since I have characters in two different guilds this makes it simple for me to just set up a crafting area in my house and have all my toons hop into that house and craft away without having to go to bank to pull out raws to craft. This thing is making life so much simpler.

For instance, I just drop the korborite into the depot and log to my alchie that is camped in the house. He makes the expert for my paladin and can either mail it or run out and drop it into a shared bank slot depending upon how fast I want it (mailing is usually fine).

The depot just centralizes things for my crafters.

So, I guess I am seeing the purpose for the harvest depot.

Maybe it's just me then, was really hoping for a harvester bot to go out and harvest the commons so I wouldn't have to keep doing it myself or spending funds on the broker. For 5 brells it's useless to me and was a waste of 60pp.

I have no alts, and no guild, so therefore was hoping to do tradeskills when not doing instances.

The guild harvest depot doesn't even work that way and there's no way either of them will ever do so. It's better if you just harvest or something during your downtime.

This type of person would likely not have had to BUY their rares. They would have waited until they either harvested them or got them from an instance in the first place.

I know that's how I paid for mine.

Unlike you I am in a guild though, so I craft out of my house only when a customer can not come to my guild hall for the commission for one reason or the other. Once we get a door to member housing for the guild I will probably do like others and store my personal rares and imbues in it instead of the shared bank. For now it holds a few stacks worth of everything I need as a sage to make spells on commission.

My 6-slot vault has six huge boxes full of raws. I keep the window open while I'm crafting to swap boxes out. I'd much much rather put all my boxes of Frostfell and NotD decor in there. I tend to craft in the guild hall just because resource management is easier.
