Hi,

In my games folder in windows 7 there are many many copies of Everquest 2 and also just the icon for it. I can't delete them and everytime I go into the game it makes a new one. HELP! My folder is full of eq2 icons and exe files! It doesn't do this with any other game.

thanks!

same for me... 226 copies and counting

maybe it have to do something with game itself not being installed but just copied, but i have another games that are just copied and have only 1 icon.

at least i know how many times i runned eq after installing win7 (shouldnt count last week since zoning takes so stupidly long so its faster to rerun the game )

Is this Windows 7? If so, it's a known issue at the moment. I wish I had a workaround for you but I don't know of one at the moment. Hopefully it will be fixed in the near future.

I'm just wondering if there's any news on a workaround, or fix for this problem?

Hi, I found this thread as I am having a fresh install of Window 7 and wanted to check if there were issues.

I am going with the home version, 64 bit.

My question is are these copies actually taking up hard drive space, more then icons. Is it downloading game again?

I do not think that they are taking up space to be honest... I can not see my system being able to hold 325 versions of EQII Desert if Flames

I think that it is just icons in the games directory that I can not click at all...

I have this exact same problem. I went to the http://www.sevenforums.com/ and got some help there. Here is the thread, that helped me http://www.sevenforums.com/tutorial...elete-game.html. Hope that helps.

Thanks for the responses. I will check out that link. I downloaded the latest launcher and am doing a clean install, not in program files as was suggested at the launcher site. I am hoping that will work.

64% downloaded since 10pm alst night lol. It is moving along...

I'm just curious, any word on if this will ever get fixed? I know it's mostly just cosmetic but it's annoying none the less Sorry for the necro post, didnt want to open a new thread since I knew this one already exists.
