Need some noob info on SK's please..

<p>First off, Race? I know most people say it won't matter but what is "ideal" for an SK? I'd assume troll/ogre etc like the original EQ?</p><p>Second, what stats does an SK want? Assuming Str/Stam but what after that and in which order?</p><p>Third, how well can an SK tank vs other tanks? I enjoyed tanking a lot in WOW, not that EQ is the same but I think I'd like it either way.</p><p>I have other questions but if someone could help me out with these first I'd appreciate it a lot.</p><p>Thanks</p>

<p>Not sure about the other stuff as I'm new myself but if ideal do you mean races that fit well with the shadowknight lore wise or physique?  Lore wise, just about any evil or neutral race works, especially those who're bigger and appear more muscular.</p><p>Otherwise it matters little.</p>

For the rest it doesn't matter which race you choose. Pick the one you like best. Assuming Str/Stam but what after that and in which order?</p><p><span style="color: #ff9900;">1st STR, 2nd STA, 3rd AGI, 4th WIS, and we don't care about INT and WIS doesn't matter much either.</span></p><p>Third, how well can an SK tank vs other tanks?</p><p><span style="color: #ff9900;">The other day I was still level 80 and went as offtank in to the VOES instance.  The tank was a level 80 Guardian in full T2 armor and all jewelry was at least legendary.  I was in T1 armor, had a crappy weapon, and all my jewelry was the level 77 mastercrafted stuff.</span></p><p><span style="color: #ff9900;">I could pull aggro off the tank any time I wanted and had to be extremely careful not to.  When the level 84 warlock with mythical would pull aggro off the tank, I could always pull the peels on to me without difficulty and often would end up tanking the whole encounter becuz the warlock peeled it all early and I snapped it to me and just went all in.  In spite of having pledged the guard and thus having reduced mitigation.  And I was always 2nd on the parse behind the warlock too.</span></p><p><span style="color: #ff9900;">SK's absolutely rock at tanking.</span></p><p>I have other questions but if someone could help me out with these first I'd appreciate it a lot.</p><p>Thanks</p></blockquote>
