Sk or Assassin

<p>After reading some topics and couldnt find or make up my mind about new character, i like to scout alot and wasnt sure if SK or Sin would be suitable for my needs.</p><p>Loves using bows, sins are pretty good with it esp if they tried to fleed you can pepper them with deadly shot. And the otherhand, SK doesnt seem to have good range attack or DPS. Dunno if im wrong but correct me if i am.</p><p>All i can say is that i like to sneak around, scout and using bows. Most of you guys prob would say roll a assassin.</p>

<p>Well.... since most dungeons have mobs that see stealth sooner or later, and you need ot actually kill things in order to gain xp and while in combat you pretty much only hit stealth in order to throw moves that require you to be in stealth to use them..... this game doesn't really support a sneaky style.  And if you want ranged attacks then you want a ranger.  Assassins like to be in close behind the mobs they're fighting.  Rangers have a lot more bow attacks.</p><p>SK's aren't stealthy at all and yeah, we don't have much in the way of ranged attacks.  We can use a bow but have no special attacks with it.  We have some spells with long range too, but not many of them.  We're more "in your face" fighters.  And we love groups of mobs to kill.  Assassins like single targets.</p><p>So anyway..... if you really do want the sneaky/shooty style, I'd suggest a ranger.</p>

<p>Thank, i forgot to mention that i like to pvp too. And wanted a iksar race too, iksar cant be ranger. In that case i would have to figured the way to switch assassin to ranger by going thru betrayal/exiled situations and that aint no cake walk while pvping.</p><p>I like to hang out near the waters mostly, so iksars would prob be my best choice unless i make a froglok ranger lol. Im not happy with frogs, more of lizard styles <img src="/eq2/images/smilies/3b63d1616c5dfcf29f8a7a031aaa7cad.gif" border="0" /></p><p>Only if i can find the right class i be happy with while i am an Iksar, but not sure which.</p>

<p>I'm an Iksar Sk, love the race and the combo. Iksar has waterbreathing one of the more valuable racethings in game in my opinion, no need for totems and when you need to go deep into the water you can. And the combo is great, iksar also has safefall so you can make a run for it and jump of the cliffs (you will go splat sometimes.. but heh you can't have it all <img src="/smilies/8a80c6485cd926be453217d59a84a888.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" />)</p><p>The Sk is a lovely class and so I heared also in PvP. If you want to scout as a roleplaying thing the sk can do it. He has some great tools to survive things.</p><p>So succes in the choice you have to make.</p>

<p>Cool thx for the inputs, i just rolled a assassin and gonna see how things goes. Maybe someday i roll another char and choose SK.</p><p>Levatino, do you like playing pvp sometimes?
