Unless it's in this morning's hotfix, the Hua Mein faction quests still include more than one harvesting quest. Tuesday's was Hua Mein Heating, requiring 25 lumber, and this morning (Thursday) I checked before work, and got Netting More Fish, the octopus/roe quest.

It might not have passed QA yet. I had the impression this itemization tweak was going in next Tuesday, they may have rushed it out.

It changed : you can pull the raw from the broker, the bank, the supply depot or what you already had in your inventory

I realised it when it auto-dinged with my provy that had the fisheses in her pocketssss

I happened to have 20 octopus raws on Pheep, she'd gotten to L88 Alchy and I was getting her harvesting maxed.

When I went to the Hua Mein and picked up the quest, it instantly dinged the 20 I had.

Nice change for those who aren't leveled on their harvesting like some of mine are.

Anyone know if the lumber one is the same way?

I hope they do the same for the wood harvesting too.

I hate the pandas -- I would like to slaughter and burn the whole village as payback for not having crafting tables.

Even used them in the middle of a raid akf break to replenish needed items that where in short supply because people forgot them

At least my woodworker is done with them. The carpenter only has one more day of agony in that dreadful village and I am not bothering with the provisioner.

He still thinks the new portable stations are only good for one use, when they're good for 10. You're not going to convince them of anything.

10 items on ONE charge - you still have 9 charges left.

I've had one set of all tables for the entire faction grind so far - only replaced one or two because I started out with the 5 charge older items. I've been doing all the quests, every day. I'm finished with the Hua Mein - and the Kerra and still have charges left.

These tables rock and are designed perfectly for these new quests.

Methinks we have a troll in disguise

My problem is not with the harvesting quests (my level 34 provisioner is quite happy with them) but with the quests that require you to make something of a different profession, like my carpenter being asked to make a club which is a level 80 woodworker recipe.

just for clarification - are you referring to your carpenter getting asked to make clubs on the dailies or on the quest line leading up to the dailies?

Either way I haven't had any difficulties doing any of the quests for my craftsman classes at the Hua Mein. I've done all of them on all three, every day. If you are getting something you cannot make because you do not have the recipe for it then I would /bug it in game.

I'm a carpenter and I've never been asked to make clubs. I make rugs and fish.

Is it possible you are mistaken and this recipe was asked of another alt ?

The rug recipe did confuse me a bit at first as I broker out the portable loom and couldn't find the recipe, then realised that of course it needed the woodworking table !

The Saturday quest for 5 roots/lumber is obtain it anywhere also. I got completion by pulling them out of my guild harvesting depot.
