i3 530 or Phenom 965?

<p>I have to update my current CPU (Phenom 9500), EQ2 just runs horribly on it. I have a couple of options here at the price point I'm looking at (~$275), and wanted to see which one you all think would be better...</p><p>Currently I have a Sapphire Radeon HD 4770, which is going to stay...</p><p>So I can get:</p><p>AMD Phenom II X4 965 Black Edition (AM3)ASUS M4A785-M Motherboard (Runs DDR2 RAM, which I currently have 4GB)</p><p>or:</p><p>Intel Core i3 530 ProcessorGigabyte GA-H55M-S2H Motherboard4GB DDR3 OCZ PC3-10666 Platinum RAM</p><p>These run exactly the same price... I'm thinking that the AMD will be better at 3.4GHZ, and will also allow more life to the computer as it's a fairly high-end chip. Anyone have any experiences with either of these processors in EQ2, or an even better idea? Thanks!</p>
