Same problem here. It wants to D/L over 1gb of data. What did SOE break? And once they fix it... how do I get rid of the crap that D/L'd that it wasn't suppose to. Just because I have 1Tb of HDD space doesn't mean I want to use it all.

I've used the streaming client for a few months now and it's worked great, even entering a zone for the first time. Tonight it's showing that it has over 4 gb of data to download as I'm playing which is really slowing things down, even entering zones I've already downloaded.

They all must have gone home for the night or admitted that perhaps they're not up to the task...

Same here. [Removed for Content] Spent weeks hitting all the zones and watching the hours slip away in downloads only to have to redo it all again.

Thier technical support people just ignore problems unless its causing major problems for a large portion of the players. Ive just recently started playing again and while I really like the game the down time(ok, new xpak came out, bad timing on my part there)and the tech support dont seem to have changed at all.

Their hours are mon to fri 10 AM to 7 PM pacific. Make sure you adjust for different time zones. Beleive it is documented in the knowledge base that the chat method is primary contact method

Same problem here. I even deleted the whole game from my hard disk, reinstalled the streaming client and put the zone data back in the folder from my external backup drive... but the problem remains. The game wants to "relearn" every zone and is awfully forgetfull now: zoning qharbor (5min), south quenos (5min), back to harbor (again 5 min)...

Y.

If you copied the files back it may have been placed in a different location then what the streaming client is looking for it at. Never used the streaming, at least in the standard one there is a option to set the directories to where you have the application placed. At least in my case I never use the default locations.

http://launcher.station.sony.com/

for thje full download client
