View Full Version : client freezes when trying to update the environmental map

<p>This is the 3rd time in a week where this has happened to me and it has always been Timorous Deep area.  Different toons and only after waiting till the next day was I able to finally play that toon.</p><p>Is this a known bug or do I need to petition a GM?</p>

<p>There is a post just a few down from this one where we were talking about this. After today's patch it just wouldn't let me load timorous at all. I think it's a problem with Profit UI but I'm not sure. Once i removed the UI it let me log in. I then tried DrumUI and it froze again, but i didn't get all the profit files out, i only deleted the UI folder. Someone had mentioned that deleting your character UI setting file helps and possibly deleting all Timorous files in the Cache folder. These worked sporadically for me , but the problem seemed to keep coming back.</p><p>So what i did this morning was delete DrumUI , all files in the Cache folder and every file that wasn't in a folder in my EQ2 folder. So that when i opened up the EQ2 folder i only seen folders and the EQ2 exe icons. I then patched the game to replace everything i deleted and then ran a full scan. Then i put DrumUI back in and ran the game. It let me log into timorous right away and i have been testing it for about 2-3 hours , zoning and logging. <p>Yeah, same thing has been happening to me. All i used to have to do is uninstall the Station Launcher and reinstall it and everything would be okay. Now after doing that twice, i can't get it. I'll try you're method. I hope this gets fixed, its really annoying.</p>
