This probably isnt the right place for this but in spite of recent db upgrades and all that for AB - all sundered frontiers beyond 1 just crashed and dumped us all out into the prime instances. /who capped at 100 entries, 4-6s cast lag on ca's/spells...you know the deal by now.

I know the bg's are really cool and probably some marketing type who gets paid 6 or 7 figures convinced everyone that you needed to be even more WoW-like but this kinda of thing makes it too easy for people to stop sub'n.

You're trying to retrofit all of this crud into what? a now 6 year old game engine and client package and expect it all to work and the world is a happy place??

I was giving you credit where credit was due during the pre-launch and launch of SF - which to your credit really went off rather painlessly - compared to past xpacks that is - but once the bg's were thrust upon us - just wow.

The zoning on AB 'feels' the same as it did before your db updates, if not altogether worse.

I'm not a bg hater or lover - I would just like a playable game regardless of what you need to do to make that happen.

Thanks!

BG will go to the wayside once the ""new"" feel goes away. I predict they will go the way of the arena on most servers. Arenas are there but hardly used. It is an attempt by SOE to a: push PVP onto everyone..bleeech, and b: I believe it is SOEs way of consolidating actions by then getting rid of the useless underused PVP server(s). PvP in EQ2 has declined . I will not say what I think about people who duell and PvP I may get banned from the forum lol.

I just hope SOE gets they're act together and either switches BG off untill they are certain they work or get rid of them. It is insane to use life servers for beta testing and thats what they are doing.

J.C.

It seems BGs have become the scapegoat for every issue in the game now. Zones crashed before BGs, especially on high population servers like AB. It's annoying, but it's not something particularly new.

By pointing out that there could be other causes than the battlegrounds for every issue people encounter It's entirely possible that the battlegrounds could be causing issues like this, although we've experienced zone crashes before battlegrounds were launched, so it is safe to conclude there are other possible causes.

Well despite the problems I am rather disappointed that they decided to put a Battlegrounds onto non pvp servers to be honest. I chose Antonia Bayle because it was non-pvp. If I really wanted to pvp that is what a pvp server is for. But that is my opinion. I do however feel that much of the problems we are experiencing is related to adding the battlegrounds along with the new content. A lot of bugs to be ironed out for sure.
