I've decided to make a healer to duo with a friend, but as I really don't know much about EQ2 (just recently returned), I'm not sure which to take. I'm more or less looking for the most dps oriented healer.

Also, if you felt like being kind, a 10 word summary of what makes each healer class unique would be awesome

Thank you all!

Druids heal with hots

Clerics heal with Reactives

Shaman heal with Wards

"good" alignment is defensive oriented. (templar/mystic/warden)

"evil" alignment is offensive oriented. (inquisitor/defiler/fury)

Wardens/mystics are good melee dps, the other are more spell dps.

I'm not sure how the SF have changed this but Fury's were the highest dps overall.

Overall. I like Mystics.

Actually the list is not completely right. Offensive healers: Fury, Mystic, Inquisitor Defensive healers: Warden, Defiler, Templar Also the Inquisitor can buff his melee DPS more and has more CA then any other healer, so he should probably listed for melee. Or by healer: Fury: spell based, offensive, leather, HoTs, Druid ports, buffs caster of the group, neutral Warden: melee or spells, defensive, leather, HoTs, Druid ports, buffs melee of the group, neutral Defiler: spell based, defensive, chain, wards, great debuffer, buffs defense of the group, evil Mystic: melee or spells, offensive, chain, wards, great debuffer, buffs melee of the group, good Templar: spell based, defensive, plate, reactives, good debuffer, buffs defense of the group, good Inquisitor: melee based, offensive, plate, reactives, good debuffer, buffs offense of the group, evil For damage Fury, Warden, Mystic and Inquisitor should be able to do more DPS then Defiler and Templar.

The others covered the basics so I'll just narrow it down. The most dps oriented priests are Fury and Inquisitor, Fury = Area of Effect damage, Inquisitor = single target. Mystic comes in a close second, but slower heal casting (wards) times than the other two.

Mystic, great healer for squishies. Can do scouts and tanks. So if you friend is a brawler or caster, better off with a mystic.

Fury, great for not so squishy and plate. Can do squishy. Scout or tank, you can have a brawler as HoT's can get someone up to full health quickly.

Inquisitor, great for plate. Can do scouts. Reactives have a set heal amount that has a very low cap on how much it can be increased through abilities/gear. The less damage your friend takes a hit, the better it works.
