Hello! just a brief question here. Me and my bf are goign to probly betray our cities here soon. a guard, and a warlock. both neutral classes, just want to move from an evil city to a good one. so if we betray, b ut NOT change our class, do all our spells and CAs get reset just as if we betrayed class AND city? or will we be able to keep all our current spells and CAs because the only thing we are changing is the city. (evil to good)

Your spells will reset if you complete the betrayal quest, no matter which class you choose at the end.

If you change class and/or alignment, your spells/CAs/etc will be reset to apprentice.

Yes, a warlock going from Freeport to Qeynos but staying a warlock will be reset.

A wizard going from Qeynos to Garowyn but staying a wizard will be reset.

A dirge going from Neriak to Freeport and staying a dirge will not be reset.

A dirge going from Neriak to Freeport and changing to troubador will be reset.

A fury going form Qeynos to Kelethin will not be reset.

A fury going from Qeynos to Freeport and changing to warden will be reset.

And so on.

Honestly, I don't understand WHY they do that. I can completely understand if you're switching classes, but when the class is staying the same, they shouldn't force a reset like that... it's not like you magically get the knowledge knocked out of your head or anything. *sigh* guess I get to live on the evil side for a while, at least until I can stockpile a bunch of Kaborite to make up the difference.

Betrayal is not something that should be able to be accomplesed just because your guild needs a specific class for a raid. It is supposed to be hard. Gues they could have locked the charactetr out for 2 weeeks realtime instead of removing all your masters. Yes, have seen a templar in the guild be asked by the raid leader to betray to a inquisitor because one was needed in the raid force
