Since I did the (box) update, my quest helper window has disappeared (except for one random day, when it was there...but that was before the digital download release, and now it's gone again). None of my characters have this window, nor can I force it to open.

I know you're supposed to be able to click the quest journal and "show quest helper"...but mine is checked. I even did the checkbox where you force windows to be on the screen (in case it was missing), reset to defaults, pitched this whole list of settings found in another thread which I figure couldn't hurt to force it to restore this window:

cache foldereq2_recent.inieq2_default.iniEverQuest2.exee q2.iniAs well as the character specific files, these will appear as such:Servername_CharacterName_EQ2_uisettings.iniSt ationname_characters.ini

Unfortunately, I have not yet had success.

Is this a known issue with the update? Has anyone else been able to get this darned thing to stay open? It's quite cumbersome to have to manually reopen the quest journal every time you complete part of a quest...

Thanks in advance.

In the quest journal, there are check marks by the quest names, click to place a check mark and it will show up in the quest help. They modified the quest helper a lot to allow more then one quest to be there and the ability to scroll. If you are using a custom UI you need to check for a update. Profit UI has the patches in the auto updated for this

AHA! That's why it would disappear again. It seems that it automatically checks new quests only and anything there before the update is by default unchecked.

Thanks!
