So, I could swear I read in the forums that both defensive and combination stance were strikethrough immune, but in game combo stance doesnt show this on its tool tip. Do I remember things incorrectly? Also, what stance is becoming the best way to go nowadays. Was sure I would stick with combo, but if its not gaining immunity and I can remove penaty on defensive stance(not to mention further increase it with AA) I guess Ill stay defensive for life.

Right now, Defensive stance is the absolute best stance to be in. I'd advise you get the Bruiser Tree AA to remove the penalties, so you can even DPS in D stance. There is so much Crush/Pierce/Slash gear out there that with 2 earrings I have made up all the loss by not being in Offensive.

Also you are Strikethrough Immune ONLY in Defensive stance - Mid stance is junk now

Also with our greatly improved avoidance buff, Defensive stance provides more utility.

Also with the physical AoE on raids, D-Stance is for the win.

Also there are several other focusses that affect our Defensive stance, such as the Bruiser AA giving beatdown extra hate, the Red Adornment giving us riposte chance, and the multiple TSO AA's that improve the stats and uncontested avoidance of our Defensive stance.

D-Stance 4 Life!

Yeah my bruiser hasn't left D stance. Also don't forget you can bust out several weapon skill adornments now too. I put a +18 one on a decent wrist that already had +21 on it. With how cheap the adorns are, I'm not sure that spending 5 aa's on removing the -22 penalty is the best place to spend aa's at, at least, not until you have an excess of points.

Consider that instead of adorning a wrist with + Skills, you can instead put +295 HP on that wrist instead, the HP is the clear winner. There is plenty of jewelry that has +skills on it, which more than tmakes up for not being in Offensive stance.

I like the removed penalties to D-Stance personally. I'm only at 230 AAs, but I'd say it's one of the best options in the new bruiser AAs.

Good point Crabbok. I will add that my bruiser doesn't get to raid, my coercer is too important for me to get to bring the bruiser. So my comment prior to that should be noted more of a group instance note. Since I can't always guarantee a dirge or a warden, and survival isn't really that much of an issue in any group zone, my ability to hit is more important than my ability to have an extra 295 hps. For raiding do what Crabbok said.

The second I hit 81 I respecced to get 5 points in to that defensive AA removal, and have not been out of D-stance since.

There is no doubt that its the win, both for soloing, groupping and raiding..

Sure its 5 AA's, but it gives so much in return that it would be stupid not to take it imo..
