I've tried digging through the posts here and various other sites in regards to AA's, but I'm still pretty confused.

I just started playing 2 months ago. I hit lvl 80 3 days before the Expansion. I had 99 aa's when I hit 80. When the expansion came out, I was at 105 aa's. I'm now lvl 89 with 138 aa's. I'm aware now that I should've tried to get more aa's earlier on, but at the time, I didn't know that. I'll be 90 soon (probably tonight) and will hit the aa's pretty hard to get caught up.

A source of confusion for me on the aa's is where do I go first with my points? Predator, Assassin, Shadow? Right now, I have the majority of the point in Pred, with enough in Assassin to get Repeated Stabbing and Frontload. I have some on the 1st and 2nd tier of Shadow.

I really need to get my dps higher though. I solo the solo stuff just fine with little downtime, but my low dps shows in groups. My guildies understand since I've only been playing for a couple of months, but it becomes an issue when I get in a pug since I guess they expect everyone to have 200+ aa's with raid gear and Mythicals. I finished my Fabled about a week ago and I'm working on Epic Repercussions atm, however my dps is making it an issue.

Any help would be much appreciated as I really enjoy playing my Assassin, but I'm getting frustrated with my group dps.

Thanks.

Well as far as i know your AA isnt that unwise spent. I've gone Predator mostly too, and since your above 81 you should be able to get to the new AA in that line aswell. So you should spend maximum there, then focus on Assassin first i think, Shadow only becomes interesting after you have 170 AA. And for the rest, well it's a grind to get them back, mentor down often try to get lower content, perhaps not !! level to 90 to keep vitality and keep slider at 100% conversion. But i think most comes down to getting more AA, no clue gear wise with expansion yet.

Thanks for the feedback. I may shift my points out of shadow when the server comes back up and play with the training dummy some.

Well I was going to take your advice and not level to 90 from 89, but then a guildie reminded me that Vitality no longer effects AA. They announced that change a couple of weeks ago. So I'll finish up the last 20% I have until 90, tonight, then go on the AA hunt. Since I leveled up so quick, I still have a lot of HQs to do. I plan on plowing through them to help boost the AA's.
