I have heard from some that if you have T8 Master 1's be careful about upgrading to the T9 Adept 3's because they do less than the T8 master 1's....can anyone verify this?? I have been holding off on upgrading any of my spells because I don't want to spend a ton of plat on rares just to find out that the T9 version is less effective than the T8 master version.

You need expert for the researcher to research the master for you. I wouldn't buy rares either, especially if you are a tank class, just go harvest, you dont' even have to kill mobs that are beating on you. I found all my rares in one day of harvesting. It might be more effective to use your mastered T8 buffs, but i'd definitely use the T9 spells due to resistability issues.

I have heard things like the harvester cloak increase your chances to score a rare not sure if its actually true.

I have harvested and only found one rare so far in all this time and it was a crappy rare wood.

Nah I just had a lot of time to kill the first few days of pre-release. I found them all in SF I also had an assassin friend who needed diamonds and we would trade eachother, so went twice as fast really. I'll tell you the spot to be is not in the rat caves.
