Double Attack

<p>I've been playing an Inquis since mid 2008 now and I play him as my main. I have some other toons I mess around with (80 Lock/Coercer/SK/Dirge) but the Inquis is my main raid toon. I think I got pigeon holed into healing when I proved to be a good Inquisitor and now thats all my guild wants me to play lol. I like doing DPS so thats why I made the Lock as my 2nd.</p><p>Although, I'm not sure if it's becuase of this new X-Pac (SF) or becuase I just recently got into looking at the DPS side for my Inquis, but HOLY COW can my Inquis DPS. Dont get me wrong.. I aint l33t by any means. I aint no Nuurse, Wylld, or Clemency (GUK server) but I can put up some decent parses when soloing or in a group. My personal best atm is an 8.9k parse fighting a no arrow lvl 80 mob. I've done about 3 to 4k on named lvl 75-80 mobs.</p><p>Honestly all I do is just auto attack though. Every now and then I throw in a debuff or a dot but anything else and I actually hurt my DPS as my Auto Attack does so much damage.</p><p>I guess I have a 2 part question really. How can I do more dps? Stay with Auto Attack or is there a spec to be able to use all my spells? I am a lvl 86 Inquis and I have 196 AA's to re-spec if need and that number keeps going up fairly quickly. Yeah I know I'm a slacker.. I should have had 200 aa's a while ago but I hated questing becuase my dps sucked and I couldnt get much ppl to come and quest with me lol. But now that I can kill lvl 85 mobs in about 8-15 seconds I am questing a lot more!</p><p>My Crit is also over 100% and Double attack is well over 100%,  It's like 126.6% solo buffed. I have a mix of T3/T4 gear and some of the newer 80+ Legendary stuff on. Do I need over 100%? Does it make a difference? Or can I take some of that stuff off and get gear that will help me heal better as I am sacrificing a "Heal" spec to do more damage?</p><p>p.s. Battle Grounds is great for my dps spec and I get plenty of kills in each round. I cant wait to get my armor set from BG.</p><p>Any help with these questions would be greatly appreciated. <p>You can stay with auto attack but depending on your haste, you can make good use of your spells and CAs as well. In general, as the solo healer in a group, I parse about 5.5 to 6k which I'm pretty sure I can push higher if I ever get around to doing the Epic quest and replacing my myth with a better weapon (and I am in mostly T3, with two SF pieces replacing my old T2). I use the Fetish UI which comes with an Autoattack timer, so inbetween swings I can cast Heretic's Doom or Divine Castigation (spells) or a CA in between to keep dps up. Question: With your AAs do you have maxed Blessed Yaulp, Flurry and Fanatic's Devotion? I also maxed out my Tenacity bonues in Shadows and Chilling Invigoration is not only a wonderful fire and forget reactive in groups but for soloing that's about 30k damage in bursts. I currently have 206 AA for reference.</p><p>As for the percentage, the percent is based on mobs your level. So 100% at 86 is 100% on 86 mobs. Take on 90 mobs and that rate drops (though it doesn't say so on your persona window). Hope that helps.</p>

<p>You probably have it but get overwhelming arms asap (shadow tree, cleric line); Flurry FTW.</p><p>I usually use a Bedrock Bonesnapper (2hander) all the time except on some raid named.  There are better 2h's out there but I've been unlucky heh. It costs 20 Manaar Marks from the merchant or 17 if someone crafts it for ya.</p><p>My DA + Flurries usually hit for 25-30k with my highest being just over 45k. Can be kinda funny on instance groups when your first swing is a 30k flurry and you rip agro from the tank heh.</p><p>I usually parse around 8-12k on trash and some named. drops by about 1/2 when I switch to 1h+shield. 1 shotting some regular mobs w/ a DA-Flurry while questing is just soooo much fun esp if you played an inq back in T5 when we had virtually no dps at all.</p><p>auto attack runs 25-60% of my dps depending on how big and how often I Flurry.</p><p>You dont need over 100% DA.</p><p>You will crit all the time with around 118% crit. = level mobs you need 100%. vs orange mobs you need the extra crit.</p><p>Potency helps all your abilities except auto attack. Crit Bonus does the same plus affects auto-attack damage.</p><p>Self buffed I run 60-70% cast haste. I'm finding it harder to find reuse % items and i've definitely noticed having to wait on CAs/spells to refresh, so you might want to find good items with +reuse%.</p>
