I've recently started a monk, and have to say that I love it! I have a lvl 82 Conj that is my main, but I think that the monk is my 2nd favorite. I'm currently at lvl 33 (or maybe 34?) with it. Any experienced monk players have any tips for me? Thanks!

I still can't find a group for Cella for that last myth buff update.

I daresay after all the fun you have being an awesome soloer, grouping is comparatively disappointing. I suggest that you adjust your AA XP slider up some to get extra AA to help you along the way as well as prolonging your solo career.

From the brawler AA tree, Chi is noteworthy for soloing single, named mobs. One strategy is to spam your CAs to keep the mob stunned, interrupted, stifled, or knocked down as much as possible, then use either Mend, Tsunami (1st received at level 55), or Bob and Weave (high level AA) as needed to keep you alive while you wait for CAs to refresh. Use Outward Calm (1st received at level 52) judiciously also to prevent magic damage. Anyway, Chi works well with that strategy.

Ultimately your best dps for groups is not to spam CAs, but instead time them between auto-attacks, but spamming works well for some soloing situations because of the secondary effects of the CAs that keep the mob from attacking you.

From the monk AA tree, you definitely want to take Will of the Heavens, Tsunami, and Outward Calm enhancers. This will make your life-saving tools much more useful. Mend enhancer is ok, but not as good as the one in the Shadow tree. Later on, you'll want to go back and get Mountain Stance enhancer once you get the similar enhancer from the Shadow tree first.

Things of note from the shadow AA tree are Bob and Weave (basically another Tsunami, but a lot of pts required before you can take it), Mountain Stance (5th pt in this removes the stun on MS and makes it actually useful), and Mend reuse AAs. Maybe also the incoming damage decrease AA.

Aside from AAs mentioned above, for solo play, I'd just take DPS AAs... any AA that increases damage, adds a proc, or lessens reuse for our damage-oriented combat arts. The faster the mob dies, the less damage you take, after all. Otherwise just take AAs that you think will help you at the moment and respec out of them later if necessary.

There are other threads (somewhere) on CA order, so check those out.
