Firstly, the change which is NEEDED is to stop the bouncing of the machine when idle. It affects gameplay dramatically when attempting to target and hail npcs and clicking item on the ground for quest updates. The machine bounces up and down to approximately 1/2 - 1 inch in either direction. Eliminating the bouncing all together would be optimal but certainly no more than the carpets.

As for desired:

Add featherfall to the mount like the effect added to the new cloud mount. After all, its a hoverpad, it shouldnt be falling.

And for fun:

Click event to add "Speed boost" = 30 sec speed boost of +30 runspeed (75% chance, 25% of breaking down and adding -30% runspeed)

I'd like to add house item conversion to the list.

I didnt even notice we couldnt convert it to a house item although I think I might have noticed it soon. I know the bouncing issue was mentioned in beta and we thought it would have been changed but its game play affecting enough to shelve the mount and just use the Rime Horse I have been using forever now it seems. I truly love the look of the new tinkered mount but when you can complete quest clicks because you are being moved around the screen, the fashion vs function question becomes glaring.

Maybe it's just me, but I haven't noticed any difficulties in doing anything while on my hovercraft. Also, I seemed to get a quick, temporary bug that stopped the bobbing---and it was dull as dishwater. The disk just sat there, I moved back and forth. I might as well just have been running.

Perhaps make the bob an option one can choose. It doesn't bother me in the least, but I can appreciate that other players may not like it.

The bobbing was why I stopped using carpets back in DOF.

Bouncing didn't bother me so much as when I am bouncing I am most likely to be off doing some multi-tasking thing or other, but I just actually watched the screen and can see where it might be annoying.

My request is: Please make the rear end look a little less like a treasure chest so I don't keep mistaking meself for loot!

Cheers!

Pathetica

All carpets should also have featherfall as well as the other hoverpads, that and a Gnomish spring boots function.

Aside from appearance why use the hoverpad if you have the rime horse? They are the same speed and the rime horse comes with nice stats. Takes about as much time to grind up tinkering as it does to complete the rime faction line. Soooo.....pretty please

They did adjust the bouncing in beta in response to player complaints. I haven't gotten the hovercraft in live, but it is either back to the way it was, or if it is the fixed version, be grateful its not the same as when it started. I got sea sick just making one trip. Will be interesting to compare.

If you mess up your timing, you move enough to bounce beyond the targetable range of the quest clickie on the ground.

And it currently does kinda make you sea sick if you are idle too long in one spot.

Haven't made mine yet, still hunting brelliums. I'll make one just because I can and my tinker is a tricked out gnome that NEEDS one. I don't like the cat mount rolly bounce. Makes my toons look like wierdos when they are hoofing about on them.
