To the development team.

Can you upgrade all pets, both casting and melee (and for Necromancers), a 10% crit instead of 1%.

Or allow the Summoner AA to also apply to the pet's crit as it does for the player (12.7%).

Our dps is pretty decent as it is, and doesn't need the boost. If you want more shared pet stats action going on thats fine but that should be done as an overhaul not as a weird +10 crit bandaid. If you dislike power flux but think the current system is okay as it is, just ask them to create a new pet effect thats like crit or crit + reuse to make it more easy for the pet to get well rounded stats. But to just ask for 10-12.7% more crit is kinda strange.

So really, just curious, why do you want them to do this?

Incidentally, I'm finding with some modicum of gear my pet is getting pretty high in crit now even while not planeshifted. At least much higher than TSO levels.

Although I am not falling for your classes' word use derived from the questoniable use of 'decent'.

So let's be honest here; Conjuror DPS is insanely good even against yellow and orange. Infact, it's downright mentally deranged. Taking on Heroic ^^^ named just 1-2 levels above is sort of mindblowing as it is.

But let's get back on track.

Our DPS is 'decent' (LMFAO). But the Pet's DPS isn't. It's boring. There's no crit. Enough said. I think your pet should have the ability of a 10% fixed crit, because crit is the staple diet of players knowing crit is in effect. I won't lean on this any more than I have to.

If a 1% crit hints at a pet being able to crit, that's stupid; a Pet's DPS isn't quite exciting as when it could be capable of 10% crit or the 12.7% in the AA. But that's as far as it would go obviously.

Infact let's be obtuse here. Have the pet with 0% crit.

Still happy right?

I didn't think so.

Stick it to 10% apart from AA or with AA at 12.7% with 10 points.

There's no argument required on this matter.

So I guess that's higher than 1% but lower than 9%.

Otherwise you would have quoted a number.

My pet sits at 36% crit chance in my normal DPS setup. Thats not counting the ~10% from a bard, or 20% from our epic, or the ~77% from Plane Shift Master. Could it be higher? Sure. But its far from as bad as you claim it to be.

This is solo, just with gear, not counting the 20 crit myth proc, bard buffs or anything else that might bump up its crit in a group situation or actual fighting. I intend to get more crit when I find the right pieces.

Just so you know the kind of pet effects I'm getting, I have 9 copies of PF on the pet, 6 QS and 3 Molten Carnage. This is a mix of TSO raid gear, legendary and x2 drops from SF and one x4 raid item (penda's guardian caller neck) which are all imo pretty trivial to obtain if you raid at all. Even if you just group, There are several ley line pieces which I don't use but have PF IV which can boost your pet's crit by a ton. Lump of Flesh is a good PF IV charm that drops from a heroic zone, etc etc.

And for the record, where dps actually matters in raids. Conjurors seem to be nipping at the heels of good sorcs and able to even beat them on some fights but still unable to reliably to surpass them zw if the sorc is exceptional and doing the right things. Average sorcs and most other classes are pretty easy to beat though. I'd call that decent dps, on target dps if you will since we are t2 caster dps and we are inbetween sorcs (T1 dps) and chanters (t3 dps). Since our utility also falls inbetween those two extremes it works from a mage standpoint. Now how scouts factor in might be a different story but as far as mages go, conj dps is where it should be imo.

And on a final note, I'd contest your point about the pet's dps being "not decent". In fact im finding that the pet which already contributed substantial dps in TSO 30-40% of mine once I got good pet gear, is now contributing 50%+. Elemental Blast, Fury of the Elements and 10% Pet spell double attack combined just make for an incredible boost. If you don't believe me, parse it yourself. It is easy enough to test, get some half decent pet gear rename your pet and hit the training dummies.

Ive been watching very carefully the past couple weeks as to the split between my dps and my pets.

Im sitting at about 40/60. (40 being my percet, 60 being the pets) assuming you count BA, EU, and EB for the pet.

Admitedly, I have a lot of the new Destructive forces gear so my pet has gotten a tremendous boost.

It's nice to have my pet be powerful again. I missed those days =)
