The server wont let me log in?

<p>When attempting to log into server #1, it keeps telling me the servers are busy, this hasn't changed for hours, is there another reason that this could be happening?</p>

<p>Greetings,</p><p>Are you using any type of firewall on that computer?  If so, it seems likely that the firewall is blocking the patcher from connecting.  Please open the exception list for your firewall and delete any entries that contain the words Everquest 2, EQ2, Launchpad, or Voiceservice.  Then rerun the patcher(right click an run as administrator if using Windows 7 or Vista).  Whenever prompted make sure to select 'allow'.  That should refresh the firewall entries and will correct the problem in most cases.  Let us know if the problem persists at that point.</p>

<p>am having the same problem, i just got the game today and installed and tried to login and i get this same message, its extremely annoying, ive tried turning my firewall off as well and login and didnt work either</p>

<p>Can't log in either. I get to the character selection screen, pick my guy, gets to the loading entities screen then goes back to the character selection screen and only shows 4 of my guys along with Server down messages. I have disabled my firewall just to make sure. I have been playing for most of the day got punted and now can't get back in. This exact same thing happened to a friend last night.</p><p>I really don't think its a PC issue. I called a few friends and they are in the game playing fine. The friend that this happened to could not get in for roughly 3 hours last night and finally gave up. This morning he logged in fine.</p><p>I have canceled my firewall, disabled antivirus/HIPS, rebooted, same results.</p>

<p>I actually had something like this tonight as well.  I reloaded the patcher and went to Character select to find all my characters back and was able to log in.</p><p>There does seem to be some wonkiness going on with the servers tonight <img src="/smilies/9d71f0541cff0a302a0309c5079e8dee.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /></p><p><a href="list.m?topic_id=472226">Oasis server: 10 min zone times? Is the server about to crash?</a></p>

<p>This morning I just kept getting invalid name or password.  Then after shutting down the launcher several times, I got in.</p>

<p>Zoning nowdays takes AGES..and everytime we are stuck at receiving zone info..and if we happen to close the game we cant get back in...atm my game tells me that "Server cant find the character..please rerun the patcher"Im pretty sick and tired of your game atm...what have you "fixed" now that made this happen ?</p>
