View Full Version : Just Returned, Where are my characters?

<p>Just reenabled my account after a few years of being away. My characters are not there, though they show up in the character search menu.</p><p>Any thoughts on how I can have these toons restored?</p>

<p>So when you get to character select screen (Not the login screen), there are no characters there? If they aren't at the login screen, it's no big deal. Just need to recache them by going to character select.</p>

<p>The moment I get past the splash screen it takes me to the character creation screen. I created an initial character just to see if I could get back to a server select screen, but no avail.</p><p>At this point the only options I see available are to play the newly created character or create a new character.</p><p>How do you go about recaching?</p>

It seems to me the most likely thing is that you are now logging into the other zone, which has an entirely seperate list of characters (you get 7 per zone).</p><p>An easy way to check your zone is to create a character and see what servers are offered. The euro zone has far fewer and includes splitpaw and runnyeye. The US zone has more an includes antonia bayle etc.</p><p>If you are in the wrong zone, the way to get to the right one depends on your launcher. The old/standard launcher needs you to change your zone choice on the FIRST screen where you accept a license. The newer station launcher you have to select a different language I think (UK english will get you the euro zone, US english the US one)</p>

I can see the Permafrost server when I create a new character, however I've been hesitant to create a new character there as I fear it'll wipe out any chance of restoring characters.</p><p>This was my main when I left, you can see it shows up as still existing, I just don't know how to access it.</p><p><a href="http://eq2players.station.sony.com/Permafrost/Kathias/">http://eq2players.station.sony.com/...afrost/Kathias/</a></p>

<p>Do you have multiple station accounts? Perhaps you reactivated the wrong account? Just a thought. There have been no character wipes though so if it is the correct account and your characters are not there not sure what might be the issue. Obviously the characters are still there with gear so hacking is not likely.</p>

<p>As suggested, check to be sure that you have the correct client installed... then be sure that you have started a subscription on the correct account <img src="/smilies/8a80c6485cd926be453217d59a84a888.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /></p><p>Once you know all that, then I would contact CS directly to see what is happening. They will have a good idea once they can get in and see things <img src="/smilies/8a80c6485cd926be453217d59a84a888.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /></p>

<p>I vaguely remember having an issue like this. I had gone from the Station Pass (Which allowed 2 extra toons) to a regular subscription. Since I had the max amount of toons, not all of my characters were showing up. I wonder if this is a similiar situation? I had to have CS fix the issue after I deleted 2 toons.</p>
