Hello my lvl 9 swash is at the Qeynos alchemist. I was told that different colored poison vials can be used together (up to 3). However when I try to use the different ones it only allows 1 to be active.

Secondly I was in my house and I found some poison I could afford on the board for lvl 10 and it said vist such and such at the inn (which seemed to be the inn I was inside). I have no idea how to find this person after trying and there was no buy button on the screen anywhere. Thx.

You should be able to use 3 different colours poisons at the same time, and you should see 3 different poison icons displayed in your maintained spell window. Confusingly the colours of the icons displayed do not match the colour of the poison, but that's a whole different discussion

Secondly I was in my house and I found some poison I could afford on the board for lvl 10 and it said vist such and such at the inn (which seemed to be the inn I was inside). I have no idea how to find this person after trying and there was no buy button on the screen anywhere. Thx.

You need to visit the seller's inn room. You don't say what the name of the inn was, so it's a bit tricky, but have a look upstairs, you should find some clickable doors. Right click on them, select Visit, and type the person's name in. You may have to try a few doors before you find the correct one if it's one of the big inns. Once you're inside their room you can click on their tradeskill boxes to buy stuff directly from them. If you can't find them, then you can just buy stuff directly from the broker, the only difference is you pay a 10/20 or 40% broker fee in addition to the cost of the item.

It was at the inn in Qeynos when you first get off the boat. As far as the poisons I don't recall the names but 1 was ascending 1 descending and 1 other. There were different colored bttles on the alchemist. Like I think 1 was blight of morning 1 was caress of shadow. If the bottle colors don't display the true color how does one tell?

The bottles showing in the item icon will be one of four different colors, each designating a class of poisons. Red are caustic, then there are purple, blue and green, for fettering types, and two others. I dont remember which are which (and I should I'm a ranger, but I examine instead of remember). EQ2Traders may be able to provide some guidance on this. You can then use one of each, up to three. You can set the option to auto use which will keep it active as long as your have bottles in inv.

Most Rangers will use the best caustic poisons they can get, best return on investment. Fettering may be useful when soloing but has little function in a group. If you can afford it, might as well keep three going at all times. Doesn't really matter what the color of the icon is in you maintiained spell window. Hover your mouse over the icon and it should tell you what it is, caustic, fettering etc.

As for not being able to use it, if your 9 and the poison is 10, you need another level. Could be as simple as that.

Basically there are 3 types of Poisions, Damage(Red), Stat Debuff(Purple), and Misc. Debuff(Blue)

Those three types can be stacked.

For exsample you can stack:

Essence of Turgur(Blue), Caustic Poision(Red), and Enfeebling(Purple)

and your poisions will Lower Attack Speed, hit once for high damage, and Debuff Str and attack skills, respectivly.

You can't however stack two damage poisions together, even if they have differant colors, same with the other poision types.

Nice for soloing, but you maybe better off with Caustic if they arn't hitting you for much damage, or have other heal procs.
