What would be a good build for a templar that wants to be useful in a group but also would like to solo at times?

I can't go into a lot of depth at the moment, but here's what I would suggest:

Go down the Cleric AGI line first for Shield Ally. This is one of the most potent abilities that templars have for damage avoidance (that and your stoneskin, Unyielding Benediction). The mez can be handy for add management while soloing, and the extra shield block/double attack boost both your solo DPS and your survivability. Don't neglect your shield in terms of gear upgrades.

Cleric INT line for cast speed, and STR line for Steadfast, are useful for both solo and group play. Many temps wouldn't think of leaving home without Steadfast.

For the Templar (EoF) tree, the leftmost section is handy - boosts to the proc rate of the "lotto" heals (Mark, Involuntary, Glory), and to the proc rate of the stoneskin, and the end-tree ability, Blessings, are useful all around.

In the Shadows (TSO) tree, the combination of Litany of Combat and Overwhelming Arms proves very potent for me while soloing. Protective Prayer and Devoted Healing are solid AAs for both solo and group (and raid play).

I'm sure you'll get more opinions here shortly.

Thanks for the info. Ive already made my way down the INT line for the cast speed. About how many points did you put into each skill? Ill focus on the AGI line next.
