There was a problem moving C:Program Files (x86)Sony Online EntertainmentInstalled GamesEverQuest IIlp_tempEverQuest2.exe_delta_8836_308.patched to C:Program Files (x86)Sony Online EntertainmentInstalled GamesEverQuest IIEverQuest2.exe. Please make sure the game is not running.

I got this message a couple days ago. Although Kevin with the tech suppport chat tried, my problem went unresolved. We tried disabling my firewalls, virus scanners, running as admin. But nothing worked. BUT.... then I noiced that although my Station updater was closed out, it still was showing up in my task manager. Once I ended that task and started the station launcher again, everything was peachy. Just wanted to give a little help to my fellow gamers out there so they don't spend a whole bunch of time trying to figure this out.

Btw, I am running Windows 7. Most of the help topics I saw were for XP. Hope this helps! See ya on the Bayle!

Nope, didn't work for me. Or I'm not understanding something. (Also have Win 7 btw). Station Launcher shows up in task manager when I try to launch the game, but it does go away once I close it. More annoying, a new problem now is that when I do close station launcher, I can't bring it back up again without restarting my computer.

EDIT: Well, I did find another work around. If I go into the EQII folder, and click the EQII icon I can launch the game from there. Well, I only went as far as the characte select screen, but I presume I'd get into the game from there. I don't know if I'm getting any updates, though, since it seems I'm bypassing the launcher.

So I figured I had the trial version installed and so I uninstalled everything EQ/Sony and re-got the launcher and downloaded it through the night. It seemed to log to my character screen this AM, but I didn't have a change to try to log into the game til this evening. Long and behold the error started all over again while the launcher was scanning local files. I made sure as suggested that I wasn't logged into Everquest or another Launcher.

If I by pass it like someone suggested, how will this help me in the future for any patches if this keeps doing this? Any information on why it is doing this and what else to do would be greatful.
