I got the newest expansion in hopes of going to 90 with my character but all i get is Alternate experience.

Everything i do (quests, explore, combat) all is getting converted to Alternate experience. Tho i am getting tradeskill experience when tradeskilling.

I have looked everywhere for info on why this is, but found none. All experience is enabled.

Any info would be greatly appreciated.

Check your experience slider.

Sounds like it's too far to one side.

Or maybe you turned off all xp but AA xp during the previous expansion.

Prior to expansion, once you hit 80, the slider in your AA window automatically set itself to 100% -- meaning 100% of all xp earned is converted to AA experience instead.

Now that expansion is out and cap is raised, you need to manually set the slider back to 0% conversion, or to whatever percentage you want. To do this, hit L to bring up your AA window and adjust the slider at the top of the window.

I am having a similar issue.

This is only happening with my character which reached 80 before the SF expansion.

I have set the AA slider to 0% but still all my XP is going to AA

I have reverted back to the default UI to see if it was a UI issue and still all my XP is going to AA.

Anyone else having this problem?

Is there a command or INI setting which will allow me to set this manually?

Last night was raiding with guild and noticed I was getting little to no experience.....and I know my AA slider is set at 0 since I moved it there myself. Plus I was also using a 25% exp potion which you would think would at least show some decent exp. I noticed Crushbone server is down this morning, so I hope this is one of the issues being fixed.

If you were level 80 prior to expansion and all of your XP is turned on and your slider is set to 0. Please make sure you actually activated your expansion by going to your account information and entering the activation code.

XP during raids is almost nonexistant .. this is normal

yes, I was aware that raiding exp sucks. I'd just noticed that it was beyond the normal suckiness, that's all. You'd think that raiding would offer the same bonus as groupage.......doesn't make any sense.

Appreciate you taking the time to reply though.

Here is an update on how xp went for me when I logged in last night.

At login

Level 80

Adventure XP = 1.1.1%

AA XP = 46%

AA XP Slider @ 1% to AA XP

Zone = SF

After...

Killing 38 standard Mobs & One Named Scavanger (Cant remember exact creature names)

Completed 4 Quests (Killing 5x Pineel Guards, 5x Ghosts, 10x Fire Sparks, 10x Elementals & 8x Scavangers)

RESULTS

Level 80

Adventure XP = 4.6.8%

AA XP = 78%

AA XP Slider @ 1% to AA XP

Zone = SF

_________________________________________

It looks like XP was going to adventure XP as normal for Mob Kills but all Quest XP went to AA XP.

OKjust in case anyone does have this problem I'll post the solution even though I am going to look stupid once you hear this.

If you are having this problem try turning on your adventure XP by right clicking on your Adventure XP bar and selecting Enable Adventure XP. Mine was turned off which was why I was having this problem.
