Had a fully fabled & mastered Conj at lvl 70, but then left the game for some time.

Came back briefly after expansion to lvl to 80, but never raided or got my Mythical etc. so most of gear is now Lvl 72 - lvl 80 Legendry or Mastercrafted stuff.

Now back again (And wanting to stay !), currently at lvl 84 and I notice that most of Quest rewards are Conj specific with many having pet buffs/stat increases etc.

However all these items have lower INT than my current stuff (-16 in some cases) so as I assume INT is still the prime stat, I am uncertain if I should be equipping the new stuff

Any help/advice would be really appreciated..

(Current stup, albeit with some missing peices for some weird reason)

http://eq2players.station.sony.com/...unnyeye/Mhoram/

Looking at your setup, I would personally say that you definitely want to get your fabled epic as soon as humanley possible. That'll help you out a lot due to the proc and crit chance on it.

Other than that, while your gear isn't -great-, i'd see how you do solo'ing out in SF. When you get into the higher level zones, you should start finding pieces of treasured jewelery with compariable INT on it (which is important as it affects your damage... as you already know... but it now also affects our pets!), but with some blue effects for either yourself, your pet or both.

It might also be worth running a few shard zones from TSO... see if you can get yourself the T1 or T2 armour... they have some nice buffs on them for both you and your pet.

Many thanks for the info..

I notice that most new items have + crit (Understand that one), and + Ability (New one on me ?).. Is there a minimum Crit I should be aiming for, for doing Instances etc please ?

Sort of held off asking to join instance groups as not sure how snobby players are these days, and don't want to be ridiculed due to gear/aa/dps parse :/

+ability for you is +spell damage and + heal amount (for the few heal spells you do have)

This is a good stat to get to say 1000ish range when it is convienent for you. Rule of thumb for ability mod at any rate is it is a pretty good investment until you cap out the damage on your Crystal Blast spell. After that point though you might want to focus on some other stat.

You definitely want to get as many pet effects as you possibly can without totally gimping your own dps. Crit cap for an orange mob as far as I know is still roughly 115-120ish range so any crit up to that point would not be a waste.

Getting a group as an unknown conjuror was pretty rough in TSO, especially without gear or AA, I imagine though it might be a little bit easier in SF. Hopefully the conjuror changes have improved how people view the class at least which has had pretty bad image problems for a while now. If you meet the right people you could have a good time in instances. But at some point you'll have to group so that you can start getting instance gear which overall has some very [Removed for Content] nice stats on it and will do alot to improve your character. Also make sure the AA you have is oriented mostly to DPS and I'd advise getting the SF AA in the conjuror tree first if you want to see some decent results right away.

So imo, group to 90 and have a full-ish outfit of decent treasured + quest legendary gear and start to do SF instances from there. If you find some cool people you can instance much sooner but with dealing with random pugs you might have an easier time at 90.

My advice is the same: Get your Fabled epic asap, and try to finish Epic Repercussions asap. Finishing Epic Repercussions will have a bigger boost to your character than everything else in the game.

Try to get to level 90 asap, and get as many AAs as you possibly can. Conjurors really don't come into their own until you start acquiring the good AAs from Shadows and Sentinel's Fate lines.

The summoner gear coming out of Sentinel's Fate instances is really good, so try to get your hands on it.

Remember: In a group setting you want to use the Mage pet.

Thanks for all the info...

Just got my T9 Mage Pet (Didnt expect that as last one was lvl 80 I thought ?, so lvl 85 seems abit soon) - Question : Old Master T8 pet seems much better than T9 Pet (To be expected I suppose), should I invest in AdeptIII Pet, or wait/research Master please ??

Level trumps all when it comes to pet. So get your Tier 9 mage pet Adept 3'd asap and start researching the Master on the Research Assistant.

The reason the T8 pet seems better is because your T9 pet only comes at Apprentice rank, which is the worst rank. Stick with the T8 pet until you get the T9 pet Adept 3'd.
