Hey all so I am coming back to the game after being gone for a long while, and I thought I would ask you guys and post the same thing at the Templars side to see what is the difference between these two classes?

I have heard soloing is rough as either of them, unless you do your AAs correctly for soloing, which I have no idea what to do heh. Thats not the point though, I was just wondering what the difference between the two classes is?

Class wise, inquisitors are offensive, while templars are more defensive. So a temp will have more buffs and spells to protect the group/tank, while we have more to boost attack power. Soloing is slow on both classes early on, but with the very first 21 AA (which you can get before you exit your teens) you can spec into "Battle Cleric" which turns hostile spells into Combat arts. It attacks faster, uses less power, and you get a boost to damage and defense. Both heal using reactives, but due to the defensive nature, most would put templar into the Main tank group for raiding.

It used to be, that some would play an inquisitor to level, and betray at cap rather than suffer through templar dps, but not sure if that is still the case.

PS: You get AA from completing quests, discovering new areas, looting status items and killing most named mobs for the first time.
