The new catalyst endline says it improves the crit multiplier by 25%.

For a new wizard with with "0" crit bonus does this mean that (spellcrit= ((possible)50%*0.25 =0.125%) a spell can crit for 62.5% or does it just add a flat 25% to a possible 50%for a total of 75%?

Sorry if the answer is obvious, just bare with me on this one. Thank You

I believe it is additive so you have 75% bonus damage on a spell crit. This is how it was in TSO, but I am unaware if it has changed in SF.

Yes when you pop that catalyst and you have 0 crit bonus from other sources it will add to your innate 1.5 crit bonus for a total of 1.75 as per Timetravelling's post on mechanics in the general gameplay section. Crit bonus has no cap, either.

Ah, a good clarification from my end, I was under the assumption that it was a bonus to crit CHANCE... should have re-re-re-read the buff... either way, Catalyst at 30 second recast is also [Removed for Content]. My SK companion hailed me last night over vent with "What is eating your face?" I didn't realize with it being up so much I'd put myself into the orange tossing Comets, Fusions and RoDs.
