Hi does everyone see that some off the ad3's for lvl 81-90 are not better than 71-80 master spells. i have notice most of my master spells to be better.. this a bug?? cause i would of thought that the ad3's would be better.

As far as I can tell, it is indeed pretty much pointless to get T9 expert spells/ca's made. The tiny improvement over T8 masters simply isn't worth the effort/cost. I'll just be upgrading T8 as I find the new masters.

I do not know all the mechanics behind the coding, and I am far from an expert however,

It is true that the Expert replacements will have a small amount of difference over the T8 masters, is it not ture that the T9 experts will be resisted less due to being the same tier as the mobs you are fighting? I for one will be upgrading to T9 Experts as I find the rares. and use the RA to upgrade my most important songs asap.

It probably should work that way, but it doesn't appear to. I've examined parses against orange con mobs at level 90 and my spells/cas are hitting just as frequently as they did at level 80. Thus, there appears to be almost no motivating reason to bother with T9 expert level abilities.

For every tier there's a 5% dropoff in upgrade from last tier I think we figured out back in t7. This caught up with us already then. Bards started out low on the scale, and got hit first.

So far my adept 3s (expert) are upgrades from T8 but some are very marginal...like 30points of damage to the min/max.

you also have to look at armor alot of bards stuff effects their spells, changing the amounts, sometimes if you have armor that effects the spell it will be better. Strip all your armor and then check it. I'd say if you find a m1 t8 that is better than expert t9 then /bug or /feedback. However, small differences (such as a 30point damage increase) don't count because technically it is an upgrade, even if it's not a whole lot.

The only spells I've found that actually decrease are the two resists buffs...arcane and elemental, their resistance amount is slightly lower, but the ward amount through AA is slightly more...not sure whats up with that.

On a training dummy, for instance, my new updated Night Strike (expert) didn't do as well as the old Night Strike with the benefits of Twelve Tone Earstone. Which kinda sucks.

It's not just bards that are affected. My paladin and ranger Expert spells generally aren't improvements either. Those that are, aren't worth the 15 p or so that the rare costs (or would sell for) on the broker.

As a crafter, I'm doubly-annoyed about this. Especially my jeweler - not only are the spells not worthwhile, there's nothing I can make that can beat the quest rewards and faction gear you can buy in SF.

Only reason I can see to buy an Expert spell is if you want to research it for a Master. :/
